Jared Cannonier will not be fighting Darren Till or serving as a replacement for next months UFC 248 main event. The middleweight standout, Cannonier, was originally slated to square off with former division champion Robert Whittaker at the March 7 event in Las Vegas. However, ‘The Reaper’ was forced to withdraw from the contest, linking Darren Till to fill in as a possible replacement.

Gegard Mousasi is eyeing champ-champ status in Bellator. Mousasi recently lost the middleweight championship to Rafael Lovato Jr, but the champ had to vacate the title after ongoing health issues. Bellator has since booked Mousasito fight Douglas Lima for the vacant middleweight title.

Earlier today, UFC flyweight contender Ray Borg missed weight for his UFC Rio Rancho fight with Rogerio Bontorin. This marked the fourth time Borg has missed weight since joining the UFC, as he’s previously blundered at both flyweight and bantamweight. Drama was also added to the situation by the fact that, after his last scale fail, Borg vowed to retire if he ever missed his mark again.

A recent report from the New York Post puts the UFC’s spending in perspective. To put it simply, only a small portion of the company’s revenue ends up in the pockets of the fighters.

But, he is looking to add featherweight champion to that list.

Jones’ UFC light heavyweight championship was on the line. By the end of the fifth and final round, many had Reyes winning the fight 48-47. That’s not how the judges scored the fight, however, and Jones took the unanimous decision victory.
