The professional prankster and stuntman is a big fan of mixed martial artists and even recently interviewed UFC president, Dana White on his podcast. He has appeared on the Joe Rogan podcast and frequently shares his predictions for blockbuster bouts. He even announced the Shogun Rua vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira trilogy fight on his podcast earlier this month.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto first reported words of the Holm vs. Aldana matchup. It’s expected to be the five-round headliner at a Fight Night card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Women’s MMA is needed now more than ever before. At UFC 248, fans witnessed an all-out war from strawweight royalty Weili Zhang and Joanna Joanna Jędrzejczyk. The pair collided in an action-packed brawl that seemingly overshadowed the main event between Israel Adesanya vs Yoel Romero. Out of left field, MMA fighter Islam Makhachev disregarded the female athletes with a now-deleted tweet, “this is not a women’s sport” he stated. Even Dana White previously dismissed the idea of a women’s division in the UFC. The MMA anti-female rhetoric attracts criticism but nevertheless highlights an ongoing perception that females should not fight.

UFC women’s bantamweight star Holly Holm released a statement following her unanimous decision win over Raquel Pennington at UFC 246. Holm was able to pin Pennington against the fence and control her while also outstriking her opponent during their standup exchanges to pick up a clear-cut decision win. Holm previously defeated Pennington via split decision in her UFC debut back at UFC 184 in February 2015.

International Fight Week has come and gone and with it was a stacked UFC 239 card. The card was headlined by Jon Jones looking to defend his light heavyweight title against Thiago Santos. In the co-main event, Amanda Nunes was looking to defend her bantamweight title against Holly Holm. And, in a pivotal welterweight bout, Jorge Masvidal fought Ben Askren. Jones ended up edging out a split-decision win over Santos while Nunes TKO’d Holm in the first round and Masvidal knocked out Askren in five seconds.
