Mir (19-3 MMA) was originally slated to meet Antonio Tarver at tonight’s event, however the Georgia commission would not allow the former boxing champion to compete.

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 24 event just lost it’s scheduled co-headliner as a lightweight bout between Jeremy Stephens and Drakkar Klose has been called off. Stephens (28-18 MMA) was supposed to be returning to the lightweight division in hopes of snapping his current four-fight losing streak. During that rough stretch ‘Lil Heathen’ has suffered losses to Jose Aldo, Zabit Magomedsharipov, Yair Rodriguez and most recently Calvin Kattar.

Masvidal, who helped the UFC sell over one million pay-per-view buys for his UFC 251 fight against Kamaru Usman, wants to be compensated more for the number of pay-per-views he sells. “Gamebred,” says he also wants to stick up for other fighters who deserve to make more money.
