Jake Paul continued his rise in the boxing world with a violent KO win over Tyron Woodley on Saturday in Tampa, Florida. Paul was originally supposed to fight Tommy Fury but the Brit was forced out of the fight due to an injury. On less than two weeks’ notice, Woodley stepped in, and early on he had some success. It was a lackluster fight but in the end, it was Paul winning by sixth-round KO.

UFC president Dana White believes Nick Diaz should retire from MMA. Diaz made his return to the Octagon at UFC 266 against Robbie Lawler in a highly-anticipated fight. It served as a rematch from the pairs UFC 47 fight in 2004, which Diaz had won in stunning fashion by way of KO. However, the rematch did not go Nick’s way, as it was ‘Ruthless’ who exacted his revenge by TKO.

Francis Ngannou may be a free agent after his UFC 270 heavyweight title fight against Ciryl Gane in January. Ngannou won the heavyweight title at UFC 260 back in March after he knocked out Stipe Miocic in the second round. After the win, Ngannou and the UFC had a dispute over his next fight which resulted in the promotion booking an interim title fight between Ciryl Gane and Derrick Lewis.

More information on Chael Sonnen’s recent battery citations has been revealed. On Sunday, it was revealed Sonnen was hit with five battery citations after allegedly being a part of a hotel brawl in Las Vegas. The former UFC fighter was detained but was ultimately not arrested because cops didn’t personally witness the alleged incident.

In the pairs first encounter, ‘The Stockton Native’ weathered an early storm from the Irishman before turning tide and putting Conor away with a rear-naked choke in round two.
