UFC commentator Dan Hardy believes a fight between Conor McGregor and Diego Sanchez would be an “execution” and that the Irish star would gain nothing from it. McGregor, who remains one of the sport’s best fighters, has recently expressed interest in a fight with the aging Sanchez.

New UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz was invited to meet the Polish Prime Minister upon his return home to the country. Blachowicz captured the UFC light heavyweight title in the co-main event of last Saturday’s UFC 253 card, knocking out the once-beaten Dominick Reyes in the second round. In doing so, he became just the second UFC champion from Poland, following in the footsteps of his friend, former UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Paulo Costa made "tactical error," didn't follow gameplan, says manager

MMA manager Wallid Ismail says that UFC middleweight Paulo Costa made a “tactical error” in his fight against Israel Adesanya at UFC 253. Adesanya spent the majority of the first round working from the outside and landing hard low kicks that compromised Costa’s ability to move. Most figured that Costa would make the adjustments in the second round and try to move inside, but he continued to stay on the outside and get his leg chewed up. All the low kicks left Costa open to Adesanya’s strikes, and the champ was able to get the TKO finish with punches in the second round.
Israel Adesanya vs. Jon Jones betting odds released

The betting odds have been released for a potential superfight between UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and P4P great Jon Jones. Adesanya picked up a dominant second-round TKO win over Paulo Costa at UFC 253 this past weekend in what was arguably the best performance of his Octagon tenure to date. Soon after the fight was over, Jones took to social media to blast the middleweight kingpin.
Paul Felder wants to introduce Michael Chandler to the UFC

UFC lightweight Paul Felder says he told UFC president Dana White that he wants to be the one to welcome Michael Chandler to the Octagon. Chandler, the former three-time Bellator lightweight champion, was recently signed to a lucrative free-agent deal. As part of Chandler’s new deal with the UFC, he has been selected as the official backup for the UFC 254 main event lightweight title unification bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje. The UFC typically doesn’t give that kind of opportunity to a newcomer, which shows you how high the promotion is on him.

Irene Aldana is glad she will still be the main event against Holly Holm. Aldana was supposed to fight Holm in Las Vegas on August 1, yet she had tested positive for COVID-19 and was forced to pull out of the fight. It was also a bad case of the coronavirus and Aldana said it had impacted her training quite a bit.
Brandon Royval says Kai Kara-France win "was pure domination," wants a top contender in December

Brandon Royval knew he was a better striker than Kai Kara-France and wanted to make a point of it in their fight at UFC 253. Royval was the betting underdog heading into the fight, yet he knew he had the skillset to win as long as could avoid the right hand of Kara-France.
