Yair Rodriguez is not happy to see Alexander Volkanovski pursuing a lightweight title fight. At UFC 280, Volkanovski served as the backup fighter for the main event that saw the vacant lightweight title up for grabs. Following Islam Makhachev’s submission win over Charles Oliveira, he called out Volkanovski and the two went face-to-face in the Octagon.

Munoz Jr. is 1-2 in the UFC and coming off a first-round TKO loss to Tony Gravely back in June. Following that, he wasn’t sure what would be next for him but when he got the call to face Sholinian he was excited as he knows a ton about him.

In fact, the Californian, has 8 consecutive wins in the Octagon and is ranked fourth in the 155 pound division.

Bryce Mitchell has issued a warning to Sean O’Malley following ‘inbred’ insults. It was at UFC 280 that Sean O’Malley (16-1 MMA) and Petr Yan (16-4 MMA) entered the Octagon in a bantamweight bout. The judges awarded a split decision victory to ‘Sugar’. Fans and fighters alike took issue with that decision, feeling Yan had been robbed of the win.

Henry Cejudo is explaining why he would ‘lean towards’ Colby Covington in a five-round fight with Khamzat Chimaev. The undefeated Chimaev (12-0 MMA) most recently met Kevin Holland (23-8 MMA) in the Octagon this past September at UFC 279. The victory for ‘Borz’ came after a submission at 2:13 of round 1. Of course Chimaev was initially scheduled to fight Nate Diaz (21-13 MMA) that day, but couldn’t make weight, sending the promotion into a flurry of re-arranging fights for the event.

Following the win, he called out Diaz after the Stockton native got into it with his team. It’s a fight that many fans want to see, including Sean O’Malley.

Mario Bautista was ecstatic when he got the call to fight Benito Lopez. After Bautista submitted Brian Kelleher back in June he wasn’t sure what would be next. Yet, when he got the call to face Lopez it did surprise him as Benito hasn’t fought since 2019. However, Bautista was excited about the matchup given the two were supposed to fight as amateurs in 2013.

A new video has been revealed of the scuffle between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul’s teams on the weekend. Paul was set to headline a Showtime boxing pay-per-view against Anderson Silva in an intriguing bout. In attendance was Diaz to support his teammate Chris Avila boxing on the undercard. It also added more intrigue to the event as Diaz and Paul do not like one another and have taken shots at one another in hopes of fighting each other.

Rose Namajunas claims she got what she needed out of the Carla Esparza rematch. Namajunas (11-5 MMA) and Esparza (20-6 MMA) originally met in December of 2014 in the women’s strawweight main event. It was to be Esparza defeating Rose by submission at 1:26 of Round 3. Esparaza became the first strawweight champion in Ultimate Fighting Championship history.

Paulo Costa is once again speaking out against USADA and their occasionally excessive drug testing practices. The last time Costa got into a spat with USADA, it was over the organization’s decision to test him the morning of the UFC 278 weigh-ins. Costa was set to fight Luke Rockhold that weekend, and USADA showed up to his hotel room at 6AM to try and take blood as he was in the final stretch of making weight. While UFC president Dana White declared afterward that USADA would never do something like that again, they’re still making early morning house calls on ‘Borrachinha.’
