Scott Coker clarifies previous comments about Bellator being in “dialogue” with Nate Diaz

Bellator President Scott Coker has cleared the air on the extent of his “dialogue” with Nate Diaz. Coker recently turned some heads when he told reporters that he was in communication with Diaz. The Stockton native has fought out of his UFC contract and he revealed his plan to fight outside of the promotion for a little while, but he vowed to eventually return.
Conor McGregor is the lone fighter on the active UFC roster to not be tested by USADA in 2022

It appears Conor McGregor is the only active UFC fighter who has not been tested by USADA this year. TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter did some digging into the USADA testing database and discovered that McGregor stands alone in terms of active UFC fighters who have yet to be tested in 2022.

Sean O’Malley isn’t lacking confidence ahead of the biggest bout of his pro MMA career. O’Malley is set to collide with former UFC Bantamweight Champion Petr Yan. The action will be held at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. It’ll serve as the co-main event of UFC 280 on October 22.

Nate Diaz has taken exception to Daniel Cormier suggesting that his nixed fight with Khamzat Chimaev was a gift from God. Diaz (21-13 MMA) and Chimaev (12-0 MMA) were of course slated to headline UFC 279 earlier this month in Las Vegas. However, after ‘Borz’ missed weight by a whopping 7.5lbs, the fight card was ultimately reshuffled in an effort to keep both Nate and Khamzat on the card.

Bobby Green has revealed that a positive drug test is the reason for his UFC 276 fight with Jim Miller being cancelled. Green (29-13-1 MMA) and Miller (35-16 MMA) were supposed to collide back on July 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. However, ‘King’ withdrew from the fight due to undisclosed reasons and was eventually replaced by Donald ‘Cowboy‘ Cerrone.

Tonight’s Bellator 285 event is headlined by a key lightweight contest featuring Benson Henderson taking on Peter Queally. Henderson (30-11 MMA), a former UFC lightweight champion, most recently competed back in January where he earned a split decision victory over Islam Mamedov. That win had snapped a three-fight losing skid for ‘Smooth’, as he had previously suffered defeats to Michael Chandler, Jason Jackson and Brent Primus.

Daniel Cormier believes Khamzat Chimaev made the decision to stop cutting weight at UFC 279. It was to be Khamzat Chimaev (12-0 MMA) vs Nate Diaz (22-13 MMA) in the welterweight main event at UFC 279 on September 10th. Ultimately, Khamzat missed weight by a whopping 7.5 pounds, sending the promotion into chaos as they re-worked the fights. Chimaev ended up fighting and beating Kevin Holland (23-8 MMA). Diaz met up with and defeated Tony Ferguson (26-8 MMA) in his last fight under his UFC contract.
