That victory snapped a two-fight losing skid for the 31-year-old, as Yanez had previously dropped fights to Jonathan Martinez and Rob Font respectively.

UFC bantamweight contender Adrian Yanez has answered unbeaten prospect Payton Talbott’s recent callout at UFC 303. Talbott knocked out Yanis Ghemmouri in 19 seconds on the UFC 303 prelims on Saturday in Las Vegas. The win moved him to 3-0 in his UFC tenure and 9-0 in his overall career.

Adrian Yanez believes he could be fighting for his job at UFC Vegas 92 on Saturday. Yanez is coming off back-to-back stoppage losses to Jonathan Martinez and Rob Font and has fallen out of the rankings. Adrian Yanez and Sean O’Malley both agreed to fight one another last year, but the bout never came to fruition. Yanez had called out O’Malley after his win, and ‘Suga’ had said Yanez would be next, but the scrap never happened. Instead, O’Malley had a No-Contest against Pedro Munhoz and then defeated Petr Yan by split decision, which surprised many but not Yanez as he thought O’Malley was capable of winning that fight.

Adrian Yanez was glad to KO Tony Kelley at UFC Austin. In the lead-up to UFC Austin, Kelley made some bigotry comments and Yanez was told by many people that he needed to KO the American. To only add to that, at weigh-ins and during the fight, Kelley was talking more trash. Even after after losing the fight Kelley continued to chirp which Yanez finds comical.

It was Yanez (16-3 MMA) vs Kelley (8-3 MMA) last Saturday, June 18th in a bantamweight bout. The result was a devastating first-round knockout loss for Kelley and another check in the win column for Yanez.

Adrian Yanez was shocked when he heard one judge score the fight 30-27, Davey Grant. Yanez and Grant fought back at UFC Vegas 43 in a highly-anticipated bantamweight scrap. The fight delivered as it won Fight of the Night, but when it went to the scorecards, many expected Yanez to win 30-27 or 29-28. Yet, it ended up being a split decision which Yanez says pissed him off.

UFC Vegas 43 winner Adrian Yanez responded to the callout from divisional rival Sean O’Malley following his big win over Davey Grant. Yanez defeated Grant in the “Fight of the Night” at Saturday’s UFC Vegas 43 card. It was a fantastic fight between two of the best bantamweights in the sport as both Yanez and Grant stood in the pocket and traded for 15 minutes. Yanez ended up edging out the split decision at the end of the fight, and he improved to 4-0 overall now in the UFC. He has three knockout wins and now, a decision win over Grant as he nears the top-15 at 135lbs.

Sean O’Malley trolled UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling while confirming his interest in fighting Adrian Yanez this March. O’Malley (14-1 MMA), who is scheduled to return at next month’s UFC 269 event for a bantamweight bout with Raulian Paiva (21-3 MMA), raised eyebrows this afternoon when he tweeted “March” following the conclusion of today’s FOTN scrap between Adrian Yanez and Davey Grant.
