Stephen Thompson is hoping to run things back with Jorge Masvidal next time out. Both Thompson and Masvidal are on two and three-fight losing streaks, respectively. In those fights, ‘Wonderboy’ was outwrestled by Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad, while Masvidal lost twice to welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and was then outwrestled by Colby Covington his last time out. With that, Thompson is hoping the Masvidal rematch happens as he wants to face a striker next time out.

Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria got into a skirmish on Tuesday ahead of UFC London. Both Pimbeltt and Topuria are competing on the card at lightweight, but it will not be against one another. However, as they were both checking in on fight week and singing posters, Pimblett and Topuria saw one another and the Brit threw a hand sanitizer bottle off Topuria’s head and the two then exchanged punches, with the Georgian fighter posting the video on social media saying Pimblett disrespected his country.

It has been reported that Kevin Holland subdued a gunman at a restaurant shooting in the Highland Park neighborhood of Houston. Holland, 29, competes in the welterweight division of the UFC. ‘Trailblazer’ last fought at UFC 272 on March 5th where he defeated Alex Oliveira (22-12 MMA) with a TKO win in round 2.

Henry Cejudo has said he’d be open to training Khamzat Chimaev for a fight against Israel Adesanya, but not Kamaru Usman. In his post-retirement career, Henry Cejudo has been busy splitting his time between hosting podcasts and training some of his fellow UFC fighters. The former two-weight champion may still return to the Octagon one day but for the time being, he seems to be pretty satisfied with where he’s at.

UFC COO Lawrence Epstein has a few reasons as to why there have been more complaints about fighter pay. Recently, fighters like Francis Ngannou have spoken out about UFC fighter pay. ‘The Predator’ has made it very clear that he is unhappy with his current contract. Ngannou was not the only fighter to talk about pay, as many of his colleagues have since claimed the UFC only pays 16% of revenue to fighters, which according to Epstein is not true. Instead, the UFC COO has suggested three reasons as to why people think fighters are underpaid.
