Jared Cannonier has given his prediction for his upcoming fight with UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. ‘Killa Gorilla’ was last seen in action at UFC 271 in February this year. Cannonier faced off with fellow contender Derek Brunson and won the bout via second-round knockout. Following the fight, the 38-year-old was given the seal of approval by Dana White to receive a title shot next.

Brian Stann has some advice for Khamzat Chimaev who has just come off a victory lap at UFC 273 by defeating Gilbert Burns in a welterweight bout. It was Burns (20-5 MMA) who was attempting to serve Chimaev (11-0 MMA) his first loss, but it was not to be, with ‘Borz’ winning via unanimous decision. Brian Stann, 41, retired from the UFC back 2013, after competing in the middleweight division. Stann is also a former WEC light heavyweight champion and color commentator for the UFC.

John McCarthy, 59, a retired referee, is best known for officiating numerous bouts promoted by the UFC. Currently John co-hosts the MMA and combat sports podcast ‘Weighing In’ with Josh Thomson. McCarthy weighed in on the UFC 273 co-main event between Aljamain Sterling (21-3 MMA) and Petr Yan (16-3 MMA) this past weekend in Jacksonville, Florida. It was Sterling who succeeded in defending his bantamweight belt by defeating Yan with a split decision victory.

However, it’s been a rough three years for the former UFC bantamweight champion. The rough patch began when he attempted a move down to flyweight in 2019.
