At UFC 322, Leon Edwards will go head to head with rising contender Carlos Prates in the welterweight division. While ‘Rocky’ has been on a rough run of form as of late, Prates has the potential to be a future title contender – and potentially a really big star in mixed martial arts as a whole.

UFC heavyweight legend Alistair Overeem has defended Tom Aspinall following his eye poke controversy at UFC 321. Over the course of the last few weeks, Tom Aspinall has come under a lot of scrutiny after a double eye poke rendered him unable to continue in his UFC 321 main event against Ciryl Gane. Despite the fact that the incident clearly impacted his vision pretty dramatically, the Englishman hasn’t been getting a whole lot of sympathy from the mixed martial arts world.

Throughout the course of his career, Jon Jones fought some of the baddest dudes in all of mixed martial arts. He constantly went out there and challenged himself at the elite level, firmly establishing himself as the greatest light heavyweight of all time by a country mile.

Oscar De La Hoya isn’t letting the UFC’s ongoing investigation into suspicious betting activity go without taking shots at his longtime adversary Dana White. It’s been a tumultuous week for the UFC. After UFC Vegas 110, suspicious betting activity associated with Yadier del Valle’s win over Isaac Dulgarian sparked an FBI investigation into the UFC and alleged fight fixing.

Michael Bisping expects Jack Della Maddalena vs. Islam Makhachev to be a much closer fight than the odds suggest. Della Maddalena is looking to defend his welterweight title for the first time when he takes on Makhachev, who vacated his lightweight title to move up. Heading into the bout, Makhachev is a -258 favorite, but UFC analyst Michael Bisping expects the bout to be much closer than the odds suggest.

Valentina Shevchenko isn’t exactly committing to a super fight with Kayla Harrison. Shevchenko has another dream fight to worry about, as she will put her flyweight title on the line against Zhang Weili in the UFC 322 co-headliner. Weili vacated the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship for a chance to fight “Bullet.” The title fight will be held inside Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 15.

A well-known UFC lightweight believes he knows who should challenge Ilia Topuria for the 155-pound gold. Topuria hasn’t competed since capturing the title back in June. “El Matador” knocked out Charles Oliveira in the opening frame of the UFC 317 headliner. After the fight, Topuria and Paddy Pimblett traded barbs before being separated by security.

Donald Trump’s son Eric believes Jon Jones should be part of the UFC White House card next summer. For quite some time now, Jon Jones has been teasing the idea of a return to mixed martial arts – despite the fact that he retired because he wasn’t interested in fighting Tom Aspinall. While UFC boss Dana White isn’t convinced that he can trust ‘Bones’ just yet, fans are certainly intrigued by the possibility of him coming back, especially because he wants to take on UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira in a superfight at UFC White House next year.

Later this month at UFC 322, Jack Della Maddalena will defend his UFC welterweight championship against former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. While many believe that Makhachev is more than capable of capturing the belt, it certainly feels like a lot of fans and pundits think JDM has what it takes to keep hold of the gold in New York City.

Former UFC two-division champion Jon Jones didn’t hold back on Tom Aspinall following the unfortunate ending to UFC 321. Tom Aspinall’s first undisputed heavyweight title defense ended in disaster after several accidental eye pokes by Ciryl Gane in Round 1 at UFC 321. After five minutes to recover, Aspinall was unable to continue competing due to compromised vision, leading to a no-contest.

UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili expects to fight a much better version of Petr Yan at UFC 323. Dvalishvili fought Yan back in March of 2023 in the main event of a Fight Night card. Although Dvalishvili was the underdog going into the fight, he dominated the Russian en route to a lopsided decision.
