Holly Holm is coming off of a knockout loss to Amanda Nunes, which marked a failed bid to reclaim the UFC bantamweight title. She was expected to return against Raquel Pennington at UFC 243, but an injury forced her to pull out. Now, according to JacksonWink MMA coach, Mike Winkeljohn, the hope is that Holm will return in early 2020.

After months of back-and-forth trash-talking, Ortiz and Del Rio’s feud has come to a boiling point and they will meet next weekend to settle their beef once and for all in the headliner of Combate: Hidalgo. The event takes place on Saturday, December 7 at Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. It’s by far the biggest event in the history of Combate Americas and will be aired live on pay-per-view.

Dan Hardy interested in Anthony Pettis for comeback fight

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Dan Hardy is interested in taking on Anthony Pettis in his return to the Octagon. The coach of Pettis, Duke Roufus, recently told MMAFighting.com’s Alexander K. Lee in an interview that he had heard Hardy is interested in Pettis as his opponent in his comeback fight. Hardy has not fought inside the Octagon since a 2012 win over Amir Sadollah due to the medical condition Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. However, he has always held out hope of a return to the cage.
