O’Malley, an undefeated prospect, picked up a dazzling first-round knockout win over WEC champ Eddie Wineland in the pay-per-view opener. Garbrandt, the former UFC bantamweight champion, delivered a brutal, one-punch KO over long-time contender Raphael Assuncao in the co-main event.

This week, the UFC announced the official location for its Fight Island and dropped four fight cards. On social media, the UFC president, Dana White announced the fights will be taking place on Yas Island on the dates: July 11, 15, 18 and 25.

The current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski responded to the announcement of his UFC 251 rematch against the former champion Max Holloway. At UFC 245, in December of 2019, Holloway set out to defend his 145-pound belt against the top-ranked contender, Volkanovski. The title challenger used a steady flow of leg kicks and exchanges in the pocket to pick apart Holloway. Over the course of five rounds, The Australian put an end to the “Blessed” era as he earned the unanimous decision victory.

Henry Cejudo says it’s his fault Jose Aldo will be fighting for the bantamweight title at UFC 251. Cejudo called out Aldo for his first title defense and got his wish. He was set to fight the Brazilian on May 9 at UFC 250 in Brazil. Yet, the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Aldo fight was ultimately scrapped as he was replaced by Dominick Cruz.

At UFC 250, the bantamweight division was on full display with Cody Stamann, Sean O’Malley, Alajmain Sterling, and Cody Garbrandt all picking up wins. It was a massive night for the division, but the event left a lot of questions unanswered. Currently, the UFC’s bantamweight title is vacant after Henry Cejudo shockingly retired after UFC 249. It is expected Petr Yan will fight Jose Aldo at UFC 251 for the vacant belt, but after that, there is a ton of options for fights. So, here is what I think should be next for the top-10 of the bantamweight division.
