At UFC 280, Volkanovski served as the backup fighter for the main event that saw the vacant lightweight title up for grabs. Following Islam Makhachev’s submission win over Charles Oliveira, he called out Volkanovski and the two went face-to-face in the Octagon.

Yet, when he got the call to face Lopez it did surprise him as Benito hasn’t fought since 2019. However, Bautista was excited about the matchup given the two were supposed to fight as amateurs in 2013.

Their first outing two years prior was one of the greatest women’s MMA fights of all time. Zhang won that first bout by split decision, but wouldn’t need the judges in the second.

A new video has been revealed of the scuffle between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul’s teams on the weekend. Paul was set to headline a Showtime boxing pay-per-view against Anderson Silva in an intriguing bout. In attendance was Diaz to support his teammate Chris Avila boxing on the undercard. It also added more intrigue to the event as Diaz and Paul do not like one another and have taken shots at one another in hopes of fighting each other.

He’s looking to snap a two-fight losing skid and is coming off a TKO loss to Arnold Allen at featherweight. Although Hooker is 1-4 in his last five, ‘The Hangman’ is still confident in his skills and that he can make a title run. Part of the reason for that confidence is due to him having a full camp at City Kickboxing.
