Justin Gaethje has been practicing his wrestling ahead of his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov and has suffered a nasty cut in the process. Gaethje, who is expected to battle Nurmagomedov in September in a unification of the lightweight title, took to social media to show off his nasty cut. He said he will need a few stitches after catching an accidental headbutt in training.

UFC interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje says that Dan Hooker is “getting merked” by Dustin Poirier when they fight in a few weeks. Gaethje, who is coming off of a fifth-round TKO win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 to take home the title, chimed in on a comment that Hooker said recently suggesting that he will finish Poirier. Gaethje knows Poirier well considering he was knocked out by him two years ago, and he didn’t agree with Hooker’s assessment of the upcoming fight.

Former UFC middleweight Gerald Harris admitted that he has struggled with depression since being cut from the UFC by Joe Silva, who he says “hated” him. Harris is the latest in a long list of fighters who have taken to social media in recent days to recall their encounters with Silva, the long-time UFC matchmaker. Although Silva was praised during his run at the UFC for him match-making skills, we are now finding out that there was a lot more going on behind the scenes than fans and media were privy to. Fighters such as Gray Maynard, Eddie Alvarez, and Roland Delorme have all taken to social media in recent days to tell the true story about their experiences with Silva.

Josh Emmett knows all he needs to do is land one punch to end the fight and it’s no different ahead of his co-main event scrap against Shane Burgos. Emmett will be making the walk for the first time since UFC Sacramento last July where he scored a first-round TKO win over Mirsad Bektic. Since the fight, Emmett was looking to return a lot sooner. But, he couldn’t get a fight booked and was then planning on testing free agency before inking a new deal.

Derrick Lewis is reportedly back in action for the UFC’s heavyweight division. According to Ariel Helwani of ESPN, citing multiple sources, Lewis will be in the main event for a fight night event scheduled on August 8, and will take on Alexey Oleinik. The fight has not been made official by the UFC yet, but Helwani’s report states that verbal agreements are in place on both sides. Earlier this year Lewis revealed that doctors told him he was facing a ‘life or death‘ health situation but according to the ESPN report, although his team has said to been keeping the situation private, Lewis has been cleared to return to action.

The full betting odds have been released for all 12 fights scheduled to take place this Saturday at UFC on ESPN 11: Blaydes vs. Volkov. UFC on ESPN 11 is the latest card set to be held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card is headlined by an important heavyweight bout between top contenders Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov. In the co-main event, a pair of featherweights on the rise meet when Shane Burgos clashes with Josh Emmett. From top-to-bottom, the card is full of a number of intriguing matchups for UFC fans to enjoy.

Calvillo is coming off what is considered to be the most important win of her pro MMA career. For the first time during her run with the UFC, Calvillo made the trip up to 125 pounds to take on Jessica Eye. Calvillo passed the test with flying colors, earning a unanimous decision win.
