BREAKING | Cody Garbrandt Drops the Infamous TJ Dillashaw KO Video

Justin Golightly - November 2, 2017

It seems like this TJ Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt feud has been going on forever. Since the beginning, we’ve gone through the Duane Ludwig controversy, the allegations of steroid use, Dillashaw injuring another Team Alpha Male member in training, but at the beginning of this year it was all about training footage. Garbrandt claimed he knocked out Dillashaw in training and threatened to release the tape. Dillashaw called Garbrandt’s bluff and after awhile, the talk stopped. That is, until now. Just days before the two settle their differences at UFC 217, Garbrandt drops the video. This guy is a liar he said I never koed him, that there is no video! Also that he has never took PEDs and he never cheap shotted a former teammate stealing his dream from under him! Fuck you @tjdillashaw hey @danawhite get that Knockout Bonus Check, I’m ready to collect it!! #ISpeakFacts

Cody Garbrandt Wants Demetrious Johnson Next Whether It's For the Belt or Not

Justin Golightly - November 2, 2017

Throughout the recent build-up for UFC 217, Cody Garbrandt has had two fighters on his mind: TJ Dillashaw and Demetrious Johnson. He’s not looking past his bantamweight title defense, but he’s been vocal about a ‘business move’ to challenge the dominant flyweight champ for awhile now. The lure of a huge fight and the chance to become a two-division champion is easy to understand, but Garbrandt went even further in a recent interview. Belt or not, Johnson is still the fight. “My eyes are set on becoming a name that’s going to live on forever from the UFC and MMA. I’d like to go down and fight Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ [Johnson] after this fight. I’m not looking past [TJ Dillashaw]. I’m so happy for ‘Mighty Mouse’, him and his wife and family are amazing, he’s a great champion for kids to look up to, he’s the pound-for-pound best. No animosity but I can make [125 pounds], if he wants to come up to [135 pounds], it doesn’t matter. That’s a fight that I would like. That’s a fight that makes sense. There’s a lot of things for me to gain going down to 125. I’d be a two-weight world champion just like Conor McGregor. I can simultaneously defend both belts.”

Russell Ess - October 30, 2017

TJ Dillashaw is switching things up ahead of his UFC 217 bout where he will challenge former teammate Cody Garbrandt for the UFC bantamweight title. Dillashaw used to train with Garbrandt at Team Alpha Male and took his training to Colorado after his striking coach Duane Ludwig left the team and took his coaching to the Elevation Fight Team. Now, Dillashaw will be training out of California as he recently announced on a UFC 217 media conference call that he is starting his own team in Burbank.

Cody Garbrandt Trashes Michael Bisping After Main Event Comments

Justin Golightly - October 26, 2017

The UFC has put together two impressive UFC conference calls back-to-back. Not only did Cody Garbrandt double down on his challenge to Demetrious Johnson, he declared that his fight with TJ Dillashaw at UFC 217 is the real main event. Today, Michael Bisping responded to the dig with a comeback of his own. Of course, it can’t end there. The UFC bantamweight champion just took to Twitter to tell Bisping his fight is only a draw because of Georges St-Pierre. Garbrandt: The Bisping/GSP fight sells on a gimmick. Our fight sells on all angles. #UFC217 👀 pic.twitter.com/4DxngKrxO2

TJ Dillashaw responds to claims of ending teammate's career with cheap shot during practice

Russell Ess - October 25, 2017

You often hear that there are two sides to every story and the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. With the feud between former Team Alpha Male teammates Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw, there is one particular story that claims Dillashaw ended a Team Alpha Male teammate’s career. Garbrandt claims Dillashaw hit Chris Holdsworth with a cheap shot to the back of the head during practice, badly concussing the TUF 18 season winner.

Cody Garbrandt attributes his championship success to TJ Dillashaw

Russell Ess - October 24, 2017

Two former teammates will meet in the Octagon for the UFC bantamweight championship title at UFC 217 on November 4. Champion Cody Garbrandt will look to defend his title against former teammate and former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw. As the two have had a long history training with each other at Team Alpha Male, Garbrandt started his professional MMA career when Dillashaw was on his way to winning the UFC title. With being able to train against the top fighter in the UFC bantamweight division, Garbrandt said he knew it was only a matter of time before he would be holding the belt.

Cody Garbrandt Compares 'Cheap-Shotting Bastard' TJ Dillashaw to a Cancer

Justin Golightly - October 14, 2017

The convoluted feud that bubbled over from Team Alpha Male into all of our lives needs a series of diagrams and graphs to understand. There are plot twists, character changes, and even behind-the-scenes mystery footage. This all could be written into a book, which gets made into a movie. Until then, we have to wait for the climax of the story arch to conclude at UFC 217. Cody Garbrandt will finally step into the Octagon with former teammate TJ Dillashaw to decide who really is the rightful UFC bantamweight champion and the one true star pupil of coach Urijah Faber. As we draw closer to the match-up, Garbrandt opens up about his raw feelings toward Dillashaw. “Sometimes there’s negativity and there are cancers that are surrounding anything in your life, you’ve got to cut that out. That’s what we did. TJ [Dillashaw] left and we cut that out and whoever else followed, we cut the cancer out. Honestly, he was a fierce competitor. He liked to compete. He didn’t like to lose. He didn’t like to give an inch. With that said, he was willing to cheat at any cost to win…a round, anything, willing to cheap shot. He’s a cheap-shotting bastard. I don’t stand for that, especially with your teammates. That’s what it is. I lost respect for him after seeing truly who he was in the room amongst his friends.”

Dana White gives prediction on who his next bankable UFC star will be

Russell Ess - October 9, 2017

With Ronda Rousey’s future in the UFC unclear and Jon Jones going through the process with his potential anti-doping violation, it seems Conor McGregor stands alone at the top as far as draws go for the UFC. Georges St-Pierre is certainly a big star but his future is undetermined as we will have to see if his own plans and abilities are set for a lengthy return. So who will be the next in the UFC roster that will bring in the audiences like Jones, Rousey, and McGregor? Dana White was asked that recently on The Dan Le Batard Show and the UFC President gave his opinion.

Cody Garbrandt's team still wants Mighty Mouse

Tom Taylor - September 28, 2017

On November 4, in the co-main event of the stacked UFC 217, UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt will attempt to defend his title against his most heated rival in TJ Dillashaw. If Garbrandt successfully defends his title, the expectation is that he’ll then turn his attention to the next contender on the docket – perhaps the winner of Jimmie Rivera and Dominic Cruz’s UFC 219 scrap. Apparently, however, Garbrandt’s team is still eying a drop to flyweight for a battle with dominant UFC flyweight champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson. Garbrandt’s head coach Justin Buchholz shared the plan on Five Rounds podcast.

Cody Garbrandt and Urijah Faber blast TJ Dillashaw over "dirty" training habits

Tom Taylor - September 6, 2017

Today, bantamweight champ Cody Garbrandt and his UFC 217 challenger T.J. Dillashaw stand out as two of the fiercest rivals in MMA. There was a time, however, when they trained together, as teammates, under the roof of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California. Then again, it doesn’t sound like they got along that well in their days as training partners, either. On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Garbrandt went off on his upcoming opponent, accusing him of getting too rough in practice, and even badly concussing Team Alpha Male staple Chris Holdsworth.

Earlier this month, UFC bantamweight champ Cody Garbrandt and bantamweight contender Aljamain Sterling got into it on Twitter. This beef started innocently enough, but blew up when Garbrandt called Sterling “boy,” a comment that was immediately criticized for it’s racial undertone. Cody Garbrandt implies rescheduled TJ Dillashaw scrap will go down at UFC 217

Tom Taylor - August 9, 2017

Originally, UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt was expected to defend his title against former champion TJ Dillashaw at UFC 213. Unfortunately, Garbrandt was forced out of this anticipated bantamweight title fight with a severe back injury, and the fight was scrapped as a result. Though there was some brief discussion surrounding Dillashaw possibly dropping to flyweight for a fight with divisional champ Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, it is more recently looking like he’ll battle Garbrandt as planned. While it has long been rumored, Garbrandt recently made a clear implication that this fight with Dillashaw will go down at UFC 217 this November 4 in the New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

Cody Garbrandt eyeing MSG return, still focused solely on rehab

bjpenndotcom - August 4, 2017

While UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt and former bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw may have been set to fight at UFC 213 earlier this summer, however the fight was forced to be cancelled after a back injury forced Garbrandt out of the fight. Despite UFC President Dana White sending Garbrandt to Germany to receive Orthokine treatment on his back, the UFC bantamweight champ wasn’t ready to fight Dillashaw. While there has been no word on when the fight will be rebooked, Garbrandt does know that he would like to make his return at the Madison Square Garden.
