Last night, UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt and middleweight champion Michael Bisping sought to defend their titles against TJ Dillashaw and Georges St-Pierre. In the end, however, neither man would leave the venue with their belt.
While this is undoubtedly a tough turn of events for both former champions, both seem to be taking things in stride. In fact, they actually shared a nice moment backstage, during which Bisping offered Garbrandt a bit of advice and told him he was proud of him. See it above!
Michael Bisping’s loss to St-Pierre marks the end of a nice win-streak, highlighted by a decision defeat of Anderson Silva, a title-winning knockout over Luke Rockhold, and a decision win over Dan Henderson. Garbrandt, meanwhile, returns to the drawing board after the first loss of his professional MMA career.
