Sean O’Malley claims matchmaker Sean Shelby acted like a “f*cking tool” after he turned down an offer to fight at UFC 268 this November. UFC 268 is currently slated to take place at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 6, 2021. The event is expected to be headlined by a highly anticipated welterweight title fight rematch between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington.

The Octagon returns to Houston for tonight’s UFC 265 event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane. Lewis (25-7 MMA) will enter tonight’s interim heavyweight title fight with Gane (9-0 MMA) sporting a four-fight winning streak. In his most recent effort this past February, ‘The Black Beast‘ scored a sensational second round knockout victory over perennial division contender Curtis Blaydes.

MMA legend Randy Couture is critical of Dana White and company creating an interim heavyweight title, calling the act a disservice to Francis Ngannou. Ngannou (16-3 MMA) captured the promotions heavyweight title back at March’s UFC 260 event, this after scoring a second round knockout victory over Stipe Miocic. The win marked his fifth stoppage in a row, as ‘The Predator’ had previously recorded four-straight first round finishes.

Khabib Nurmagomedov may be happily retired but that hasn’t stopped his longtime rivals like Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson from talking trash. Both Diaz and Ferguson have a storied history with the now former UFC lightweight champion. Tony and Khabib were actually booked to fight on five different occasions, however none of those contests ever came to fruition due to injuries and weight misses suffered by both fighters.

Dana White has offered a new explanation for tonight’s interim heavyweight title fight at UFC 265, drawing a quick response from Francis Ngannou. Ciryl Gane and Derrick Lewis will collide in tonight’s event headliner in Houston with the promotions interim heavyweight title up for grabs. It is undoubtedly an exciting matchup, but given the fact that Francis Ngannou just won the heavyweight title back in March, many fans are not happy with the interim strap being associated with the bout.

Kevin Lee vs. Sean Brady has been canceled for the second time. Multiple sources informed BJPENN.com that Brady suffered an undisclosed injury and his fight against Lee is off. MMAJunkie was first to report the news of Brady’s withdrawal. The two were supposed to fight at UFC 264 but a minor rib injury from Lee forced him off the card and they were pushed back to August.

Justin Gaethje doesn’t think UFC 268 will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The pay-per-view card is scheduled for November 6 and is tentatively scheduled for MSG. However, New York has implemented a required proof of vaccination for indoor dining, fitness, and entertainment events. A UFC event would fall into the latter category, so Gaethje believes that will force the promotion out of MSG.

Justin Gaethje says he’s eager to fight Michael Chandler as he doesn’t like the former Bellator lightweight champion. Gaethje and Chandler are scheduled to face one another on November 6 at UFC 268. It’s a highly-anticipated fight at lightweight where the winner could earn a title shot. For Gaethje, however, he says he’s ecstatic for the fight as it’s been a while since he fought someone he doesn’t like.

Check out the complete betting odds for this Saturday’s UFC 265 card featuring an interim heavyweight title fight between Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane. In the main event of UFC 265, Lewis will take on Gane in his hometown of Houston. Lewis is coming off an upset KO win over Curtis Blaydes back in February. “The Black Beast” is riding a four-fight winning streak and holds a win over the current champ in Francis Ngannou. Gane, meanwhile, is only 9-0 as a pro and signed to the UFC at 3-0. He has already fought twice in 2021, both being main events, where he won decisions over Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Alexander Volkov.

Urijah Faber isn’t ruling out a return to the Octagon. Faber, the former WEC featherweight champion, is now 42-years-old and has not fought since he suffered a TKO loss to Petr Yan at UFC 245. However, the UFC Hall of Famer has always hinted at a return to the sport, and he says he plans on sitting down with the UFC to discuss that. He also knows if he were to return, it would not be for several months as he would need to get back into fight shape.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has fought a lot of power punchers in his UFC career but one opponent sticks out. When Nurmagomedov fought Conor McGregor at UFC 229, many said he had to be worried about the Irishman’s power. He had been knocking everyone out at featherweight and knocked out and dropped Eddie Alvarez several times in his UFC lightweight debut. Yet, for “The Eagle” he says Justin Gaethje is the hardest hitter he has ever fought.

Conor McGregor and his spree of tweeting and deleting continues. Seemingly a permanent rival at this point, former undefeated 29-0 UFC lightweight king, Khabib Nurmagomedov recently commented on McGregor’s targeting of his father’s death on Twitter. This didn’t sit too well with “The Notorious.”
