Israel Adesanya expects to make his UFC 276 title defense against Jared Cannonier look easy. Adesanya is looking to defend his middleweight title for the fifth time as he headlines the International Fight Week card against Cannonier. The middleweight champ is a sizeable favorite as many expect him to win, but the champ says he wants to make it look easy and prove he is the best.

Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub has blasted MMA judges following Holly Holm’s defeat to Ketlen Vieira. Last Saturday night, the two women’s bantamweight contenders were the main event of UFC Vegas 55. The bout itself was quite close, however, many believed Holm was winning into the championship rounds. Vieira’s own coach, Andre Pederneiras echoed that sentiment before round five.

Tony Ferguson is sharing oddities in the USADA testing at UFC 274. It was Tony Ferguson (26-7 MMA) vs Michael Chandler (23-7 MMA) in a lightweight bout on Saturday May 7th, 2022 at UFC 274. Chandler won the fight by KO (see that here), just 17 seconds into Round 2.

Apparently Israel Adesanya claims he doesn’t even know where his UFC belt is right now. The UFC’s undisputed middleweight champion, Adesanya (21-1 MMA), has admitted that he feels no attachment to the very heavy championship belt and he doesn’t even know where it is.

Eryk Anders has given his thoughts following his controversial defeat at the hands of Park Jun-yong last weekend. Saturday night’s UFC Vegas 55 card certainly turned a few heads with many fans and pundits alike disagreeing with some of the decisions that were made by the judges. One of the biggest examples of that came in the main event between Holly Holm and Ketlen Vieira, but beyond that, we also saw some controversy at middleweight as Park Jun-yong defeated Eryk Anders to open up the main card.

Santiago Ponzinibbio has issued a statement following his defeat to Michel Pereira at the UFC Apex last weekend. In what was easily the fight of the night for Saturday evening’s card, Santiago Ponzinibbio and Michel Pereira went to war in a really fun welterweight clash. Both men had some great moments throughout the course of the three rounds but ultimately, it was Pereira who did just about enough in the eyes of the judges to get a split decision nod.

Holly Holm’s team has questioned the legitimacy of the sport following her controversial loss to Ketlen Vieira. Last Saturday night at the UFC Apex, Holly Holm went head to head with Ketlen Vieira in an attempt to extend her current win streak with the promotion to three. Unfortunately for the veteran, she was unable to do so as she fell to a split decision loss with the judges scoring the contest 47-48, 48-47 and 48-47.

Aljamain Sterling got a parade in his honor on Monday in his hometown. Sterling, the current UFC bantamweight champion, had a rally in his hometown of Uniondale, New York as he rode atop a fire truck and waved to everyone in attendance. Along with the parade, Nassau County declared May 23 as Aljamain Sterling Day.

Henry Cejudo believes Tony Ferguson is the perfect opponent for Conor McGregor in his return. McGregor is currently rehabbing his broken leg, but it is likely he will return to the Octagon in the next few months. It’s still uncertain who he will fight but he has options at both lightweight and welterweight. For former UFC champion Henry Cejudo, he thinks Ferguson makes the most sense.

UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira doesn’t want to put a permanent end date on his career. The champion is set to face Jiri Prochazka at UFC 275 next month. Ahead of his first title defense, Teixeira stated that he was likely going to retire this year. His ideal year would be a win at UFC 275, then a title defense in Madison Square Garden in November.

During her reign at flyweight, Shevchenko has barely lost a round, let alone a fight.
