Adesanya is looking to defend his middleweight title for the fifth time as he headlines the International Fight Week card against Cannonier. The middleweight champ is a sizeable favorite as many expect him to win, but the champ says he wants to make it look easy and prove he is the best.

The bout itself was quite close, however, many believed Holm was winning into the championship rounds. Vieira’s own coach, Andre Pederneiras echoed that sentiment before round five.

Both men had some great moments throughout the course of the three rounds but ultimately, it was Pereira who did just about enough in the eyes of the judges to get a split decision nod.

Last Saturday night at the UFC Apex, Holly Holm went head to head with Ketlen Vieira in an attempt to extend her current win streak with the promotion to three. Unfortunately for the veteran, she was unable to do so as she fell to a split decision loss with the judges scoring the contest 47-48, 48-47 and 48-47.
