Don’t expect Alexandre Pantoja to share the Octagon with Merab Dvalishvili. Pantoja is one of UFC’s top pound-for-pound fighters currently. He has reigned as the flyweight titleholder since 2023. Pantoja and Dvalishvili will both be featured on the main card of UFC 323 on Dec. 5. Pantoja will put his gold at stake against Joshua Van, while Dvalishvili defends the bantamweight title against Petr Yan in a rematch.

Amanda Nunes will be getting some assistance from a former rival of Kayla Harrison. Nunes will be coming out of retirement at UFC 324 on Jan. 24. The UFC Hall of Famer will challenge Harrison for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It’ll be “The Lioness'” first fight since June 2023.

TJ Dillashaw was once heavily criticized for taking a UFC title fight knowing he was injured, and he has reflected on that decision. Dillashaw challenged Aljamain Sterling for the UFC Bantamweight Championship back in 2022. The bout was never truly competitive and the “Funk Master” earned a second-round TKO finish. It is a matchup that caught many fans and pundits by surprise, as ‘The Problem Child’ was originally slated to compete in an exhibition bout with WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis. That proposed ‘Tank’ matchup ultimately fell apart, and Paul signed on to fight Joshua instead.

Alexander Volkanovski openly admits that he feels other fighters were “more deserving” of a title fight at UFC 325 when compared to Diego Lopes. Volkanovski (27-4 MMA) will look to defend his featherweight title in a rematch against Lopes (27-7 MMA) in the headliner of UFC 325 on February 1st in Sydney, Australia. The pair first collided at UFC 314 this past April, with ‘The Great’ ultimately regaining the then vacant featherweight strap with a unanimous decision victory.
