Former two-division UFC champ Daniel Cormier believes the UFC made the right move by allowing Khabib Nurmagomedov to keep his title. Nurmagomedov, the UFC lightweight champion and current pound-for-pound king of MMA, announced his retirement after he submitted Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. Despite this announcement, UFC President Dana White expressed optimism that the lightweight star will fight again.

An intriguing women’s flyweight bout between Cynthia Calvillo and Katlyn Chookagian has been added to UFC 255, and Lauren Murphy responded. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto was the first to report that Calvillo vs. Chookagian will take place at UFC 255, which is set for November 21 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card is headlined by a pair of flyweight title fights, with men’s champion Deiveson Figueiredo taking on Alex Perez and women’s champion Valentina Shevchenko against Jennifer Maia
Alistair Overeem calls for Jairzinho Rozenstruik rematch: "This one needs to be run back"

UFC heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem continued to call for a rematch against Jairzinho Rozenstruik, saying the two need to run it back. Overeem and Rozenstruik met in the main event of UFC Washington, D.C. in December 2019. Overeem won the first four rounds of the fight and was on his way to winning a unanimous decision until Rozenstruik landed a massive punch with seconds left to go in the contest. Referee Dan Miragliotta saw the damage the punch did to Overeem’s lip and decided to step in and wave off the contest even though Overeem was still conscious.
