Dustin Poirier made an attempt to share the boxing ring with Nate Diaz, but it wasn’t meant to be. Poirier retired from combat sports competition following his July 2025 loss to Max Holloway. “The Diamond” hasn’t ruled out possibly returning for a huge fight, and a boxing match against Diaz would’ve fit the bill.

Fight fans have reacted to the announced MMA return of Nate Diaz, who will face Mike Perry on the undercard of Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano. Rousey vs. Carano will headline a Most Valuable Promotions card set to air live on Netflix on May 16. In addition to a heavyweight clash between Francis Ngannou and Philipe Lins, Diaz vs. Perry was announced on Monday. It’ll be Diaz’s first MMA fight since 2022 when he defeated Tony Ferguson under the UFC banner.

Charles Oliveira is aware of comments made by Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz following his UFC 326 win. Oliveira fought Max Holloway for the BMF Championship on Saturday. The bout didn’t go the way many anticipated. Oliveira’s grappling was dominant throughout the fight, and he never allowed “Blessed” to get anything going. Ultimately, “do Bronxs” won the fight via unanimous decision.

Their first encounter took place back in Nov. 2019 when Masvidal defeated Diaz under the UFC banner. Diaz scored a decision win over Masvidal in their 2024 rematch, which took place under boxing rules.

Speaking on the social media platform X this week, Diaz revealed that he has placed a $20,000 wager on Paul to win. Given how big of an underdog Paul is, Diaz stands to win $142,000 if he’s right.

Despite losing to the BMF titleholder Holloway by unanimous decision in the UFC 318 main event, Poirier received the rare opportunity to fight for the last time just minutes away from his hometown.

Nate Diaz continues to put Khamzat Chimaev on blast following UFC 319. Chimaev captured the UFC Middleweight Championship thanks to a blowout decision victory over Dricus du Plessis in Chicago. The bout wasn’t competitive, as du Plessis had no answer for the grappling of “Borz.” While there is no doubting that Chimaev put on a masterclass in the grappling department, some fans and even experts believe the lack of action left a lot to be desired.
