Jorge Masvidal doubles down on wanting trilogy fight with Nate Diaz: ‘Let’s do f****** Muay Thai’

Jorge Masvidal continues pushing for a third showdown with Nate Diaz.

“Gamebred” and the Stockton native have competed against one another twice. Their first encounter took place back in Nov. 2019 when Masvidal defeated Diaz under the UFC banner. Diaz scored a decision win over Masvidal in their 2024 rematch, which took place under boxing rules.

Masvidal has insisted that he was robbed in the boxing rematch with Diaz, and he wants a trilogy bout. He even suggested another combat sport when speaking to MMAFighting.

“Don’t do that to him. You want him to f*cking get slaughtered again,” Masvidal said. “I beat the brakes off that boy in California. Threw more shots, landed more shots. Threw more power shots, landed more power shots. I don’t know what category this guy won in other than this freaking fight took place in California, with scumbag [Gavin]Newsom over there because everything is corrupt over there. It’s f*cking nuts. From the fire department to the fighting. They robbed me in that motherf*cking fight. But if Nate wanted it again, let’s do f*cking Muay Thai.

“We already did MMA. That’s too easy. Let’s do f*cking Muay Thai. Let’s have some Muay Thai fun.”

Masvidal admitted that he’s hoping to get a spot on the UFC White House card. If that doesn’t pan out, “Gamebred” plans to return to competition regardless. Masvidal and Diaz haven’t fought since their 2024 encounter.

“Gambred” claims he still works closely with UFC on some things and the company is allowing him to explore other opportunities. He said he remains a part of the company, which is why he is holding out hope on a spot at the UFC White House event. Time will tell if Masvidal gets his wish.
