Cris Cyborg is without a doubt one of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts and her contract with the UFC is literally counting down.

According to a report by Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting, multiple sources have said that Cyborg has just two fights left on her UFC contract. What makes things even more interesting is that there is a special clause in her current deal that that ends her contract with the UFC in October 2017 regardless of how many fights are left on her contract.

With some buzz in the air of a UFC women’s featherweight title fight against newly crowned champion Germaine de Randamie on July 29 at UFC 214, the fight has not yet been officially announced by the UFC.

Cyborg tweeted on Monday, “#ufc214 I’m excited to fight in my backyard with my USA home crowd against @IronLadyMMA! @JonnyBones on #ufcanaheim is just a bonus! #letsgo”

De Randamie said following her inaugural UFC women’s featherweight championship win over Holly Holm at UFC 208 in February that she would be taking time off to get work done on her injured hand. The status of the injury is not known at this time.

UFC 214 could potentially be a massive card in Anaheim, California with UFC President Dana White offering Jon Jones a light heavyweight title shot against Daniel Cormier. Cormier stated in a social media post on Tuesday that he will be defending his title on July 29 but is in the dark on who his opponent will be between Jones and Jimi Manuwa.
