Belal Muhammad is looking to score a fight with Nate Diaz. Muhammad, who is a fan-favorite, recently became ranked at welterweight after Rafael dos Anjos and Nate Diaz were removed. So, for Muhammad, he has called out the Stockton native for a fight to give Diaz a chance to get back his spot in the rankings.

UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad has called for an eight-man UFC lightweight tournament including Rafael dos Anjos vs. Charles Oliveira. The UFC lightweight division is in flux right now with UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov’s status very much in the air. Although “The Eagle” announced his retirement following his submission win over Justin Gaetje at UFC 254, it was later revealed that the promotion will not strip him of his belt. So the division is currently operating with the belief that Nurmagmedov is still the champion — for now.

UFC welterweight veteran Belal Muhammad will return to the Octagon later this year when he takes on top prospect Sean Brady in a fun matchup. MMAjunkie.com’s Farah Hannoun reported that the UFC has added the Muhammad vs. Brady matchup to an event that is set to take place on December 19 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. That event does not currently have a main event announced for it. The only other fight on the card so far is Antonio Braga Neto vs. Deron Winn at middleweight. Look for the UFC to announce a headliner for this event in the next couple of weeks.

UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad believes that the UFC rankings need to be abolished, saying it’s leading to ranked fighters ducking a matchup against him. Despite an 8-3 record in the UFC and a three-fight win streak, Muhammad is not ranked in the top-15. The welterweight spoke at the UFC on ESPN 11 post-fight press conference following his decision win over Lyman Good and explained why the UFC rankings should be abolished.

Ferguson earlier this week posted a video of his unorthodox training methods for his upcoming fight against UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 249. “El Cucuy” often posts videos of his workouts — many which edge on the side of ridiculous — for his fans to watch. But with a 12-fight win streak inside the Octagon, clearly whatever Ferguson is doing works, and Muhammad used it as an opportunity to troll him.

The UFC announced the bonus winners following the conclusion of UFC 242, and Khabib Nurmagomedov was among those collecting a $50,000 bonus check. Nurmagomedov finished Dustin Poirier in the third round of the main event to improve to 28-0 in his MMA career. Unsurprisingly, he won a bonus award for Performance of the Night for his vicious rear-naked choke finish of Poirier.

Charging straightforward at his opponent, Mickey Gall, CM Punk would get taken down almost immediately and lose the fight via first-round submission by way of rear naked choke without ever landing a single punch.

Round one begins and Belal immediately begins attacking the legs of Brown with some hard kicks. More good low kicks from Muhammad. Brown attempts to return fire but misses. Belal charges forward with a right that miss. Randy connects with a right and then an uppercut. He follows that up with a leg kick. Belal comes forward but eats a crisp jab. Randy connects with a knee but Belal returns fire with a hard leg kick. Randy circles out and then lands a jab. Belal connects with another hard leg kick. Randy returns fire with one of his own. Muhammad with a hard leg kick. Brown circles out. Belal continues his pressure and lands yet another hard leg kick. Brown misses with a spinning back fist attempt. Round one comes to an end.

Randy Brown will be fighting at UFC 208 after the UFC was able to find him a replacement opponent. Palestine’s Belal Muhammad has stepped up and will now fight Brown at UFC 208. After Randy Brown’s original opponent George Sullivan was pulled from UFC 208 due to USADA violation, it seemed all hope was lost for Brown when it came to UFC 208.
