UFC president Dana White said that a Valentina Shevchenko vs. Amanda Nunes trilogy is possible, as is a superfight against Weili Zhang. Shevchenko, the reigning and defending UFC women’s flyweight champion, puts her belt on the line this weekend at UFC 255 when she takes on Jennifer Maia in the co-main event. Shevchenko has gone a perfect 5-0 since moving down to 125lbs and looks to hold the belt for a long time. Should she get by Maia this weekend as the betting odds suggest she will, the calls for a tougher matchup for Shevchenko in her next fight will be high.

Nunes vs. Anderson for the UFC women’s featherweight title was set to headline UFC 256, which takes place on December 12 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, that fight has now been scrapped and the card needs a new main event. With Nunes vs. Anderson scratched, Sterling — who was set to take on UFC bantamweight champion Yan in the co-main event — is now stumping to take over the main event slot of the card.

Raegan Ann Nunes was welcomed into the world on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 7:15 a.m. EST. Nunes broke the good news on her social media and posted a photo of the happy couple holding their daughter in her hospital bed.

The UFC already has a stacked schedule for the remainder of the year. In December, things will get even better as it has been reported Amanda Nunes and Darren Till will both return. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported that Amanda Nunes will remain at featherweight to defend her belt against Megan Anderson at UFC 256 on December 12. Additionally, in the main event of a December 5 fight card, Darren Till will return against Jack Hermansson, pending medical clearance on Till’s knee.

UFC women’s bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes has been ranked as the No. 1 overall fighter in the new EA UFC 4 video game. EA UFC 4 will be released on August 14. As the name implies, it’s the fourth game in the EA UFC series, following previous editions of the game in 2014, 2016, and 2018. The cover athletes for EA UFC 4 will be UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and welterweight superstar Jorge Masvidal. Boxing star Tyson Fury is also expected to be in the game.
