Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is getting back to competition for a title fight in the Octagon after taking more than a year off. Rousey will take on the current champion, Amanda Nunes, in a five-round title fight at UFC 207 in December. Rousey last fought in November of 2015 where she lost for the first time in her professional mixed martial arts career. Rousey suffered a devastating knockout delivered by Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Australia.

News broke earlier today that current UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes will make her first title defense at December’s UFC 207 event in Las Vegas when she squares off with former title holder Ronda Rousey. Amanda Nunes is currently riding an impressive four-fight win streak, her latest being a title-capturing first-round submission victory over Miesha Tate at July’s UFC 200 event.
