Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is getting back to competition for a title fight in the Octagon after taking more than a year off. Rousey will take on the current champion, Amanda Nunes, in a five-round title fight at UFC 207 in December. Rousey last fought in November of 2015 where she lost for the first time in her professional mixed martial arts career. Rousey suffered a devastating knockout delivered by Holly Holm at UFC 193 in Australia.

The former champ initially planned on filming several movies in Hollywood, and then returning to the Octagon. With that being said, Rousey has maintained radio silence regarding when she plans to return to the Octagon, only hinting at the subject in an interview where she stated that she wants her belt back.
