Rampage Jackson gets called out by...50 Cent?
Drake Riggs - May 8, 2018
Did you think that it was only the UFC that was providing us with an MMA circus recently? Then you must not have been paying attention to Bellator…at least that’s how it may seem. Bellator has already been known for putting on various “legends” fights ranging from Stephan Bonnar vs Tito Ortiz and Royce Gracie vs Ken Shamrock 3 to Kimbo Slice vs DaDa 5000…we’ll just ignore that last one though.

Tom Taylor - April 5, 2018
In the year 2018, when so few things seem to make any sense, one of the most talked about stories in combat sports has been undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather’s potential move to MMA. While this narrative was initially met with widespread skepticism, Mayweather, his team, and even UFC President Dana White have continued to throw gas on the fire, assuring that it could actually happen. White’s latest comments on Floyd Mayweather’s possible move to MMA occurred on The Jim Rome Show, where he once again claimed it was a real possibility. On the show, White explained why he can envision an MMA rematch between Mayweather and UFC star Conor McGregor, who the boxer defeated in the ring back in August.

Tom Taylor - March 26, 2018
Undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather wants to test his mettle in the perilous arena of mixed martial arts. At the very least, that’s what he wants us to believe. Regardless of whether or not the 41-year-old Mayweather ever actually makes this jump, he’ll reportedly begin game-planning and training with UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley very soon. Woodley, who offered to prepare Mayweather for his MMA debut, updated on the boxer’s transition in an interview with TMZ. Apparently, his role in Mayweather’s training will have more to do with game-planning than actual hands-on training, though there could be a few legitimate training sessions peppered in throughout the process.
Anthony Joshua responds to rumors surrounding $500m offer from UFC
Tom Taylor - March 23, 2018
Earlier this week, the combat sports world was inundated by rumors that the UFC was considering locking up the services of boxing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua – to the tune of almost $500 million. The idea, rumor had it, was to use Joshua as a tool to kickstart Zuffa’s foray into the world of boxing (not to have him compete in MMA). While the sources of these rumors were undeniably dubious, Joshua seems to have heard them, and he seems intrigued – like anybody who hears their own name and “$500 million” mentioned in the same sentence would be.

“Well let’s put it this way… We saw Conor McGregor cross over to boxing within six to eight months and face what has said to be the best boxer on Earth, yes or no? Yes. I would say that if Floyd Mayweather needs six to eight months to prepare for his first MMA fight and he wants to fight one of the best in the world, I could make that with one arm and fight him. And that’s just the way it is.
VIDEO | Floyd Mayweather Will Apply for His MMA License
Justin Golightly - March 19, 2018
We said it wouldn’t happen. We said it didn’t make any sense. We made fun of people that thought it was going down. Sound familiar? This is how nearly the entire planet felt about a boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, but it manifested itself nevertheless. It seems like Mayweather making his MMA debut could be following the same pattern. “[I haven’t applied for my MMA license] yet. Not yet, but everything takes time. Eventually we’re gonna apply for the license and hopefully we can fight [in the UFC]. We probably need a little bit longer [than three months to get ready for my first MMA fight]. A little bit longer. Even if it takes six to eight months, whatever it takes, we want to make sure everything is done correctly and everything is done the right way.” — Floyd Mayweather speaking to TMZ Sports.

Floyd Mayweather Camp Insider Says Team Doesn't Believe He Could Beat Conor McGregor In MMA
Drake Riggs - February 19, 2018
Over the past weeks, boxing legend and great, Floyd Mayweather has used his social media accounts to tease fans with what looks like a transition to MMA… Nothing at all is confirmed right now and who knows if anything is close to becoming official behind the scenes. All we know is that UFC President, Dana White has expressed interest in having Mayweather fight for him in an MMA format and of course, his most recent opponent, UFC lightweight champion, Conor McGregor has shown interest in this as well. Who isn’t very interested in this though? Well, surely there’s a broad answer to that question as the circus surrounding McGregor has gone on for quite some time now. But specifically, the Mayweather team doesn’t look to really want this to happen and if it did, they don’t think Mayweather would fair well. Insider for the camp, Jody Kohn spoke with BodySlam.Net‘s FrankieNYC about the potential fight:
