After a sabbatical and starting a new coffee business along with partners Ryan and Kaitlin Hoskinson, he’s ready to get back and brew up more violence. Although we may not see Condit in the UFC much longer, according to this conversation over breakfast with MMA Fighting’s photographer Esther Lin. Admitting he never had an exit strategy when he made the decision to be a professional fighter, one of the top welterweights in the world may have finally found one with Hundred Hands coffee. “I don’t know. This [fight at UFC 219] might be a one-off deal. We’ll see. If I can get in there, get a big win, get a bonus, get some money to freakin’ get the coffee thing rolling and be a more substantial thing and like a source of income, this might be it. But maybe not, I don’t know. It’s a hard thing. Once you get a taste of all of it, the adrenaline, all of it, including the money, the pay days. [Fighting is] not an easy way to make money, but it’s the best way that I know to make money. So there’s that. It pays the bills.”

Can you imagine that you are diving in your car, admiring the dark blue expanse of the heavens, when suddenly all these humongous, streaking blobs spread across the sky? You pull off the road along with other drives and look up, trying to take pictures or record some video for social media or to preserve this moment in case it’s the night that aliens visit Earth. In that crazy moment, you turn to your left and there is Tito Ortiz doing the same thing. That may have happened to someone last night as the former UFC light heavyweight champion tried to figure out if this was real life. “SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket, launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base at 5:27 p.m., was carrying 10 satellites to low-Earth orbit. The satellites will be part of a constellation operated by Iridium Communications. All 10 satellites successfully deployed, with the last one deploying about 1 hour and 12 minutes after liftoff.”

The MMA community has yet to get any new substantial information regarding Jon Jones’ positive steroid test following his fight with Daniel Cormier at UFC 214, which took place in July. Jones originally had a hearing date set for December 12 but was granted a continuance in November, which pushed his hearing date back to February 2018. UFC commentator Joe Rogan and fellow martial artist Eddie Bravo were talking on the JRE podcast about the latest with Jones and the status of his hearing and Rogan opened up on some of the rumors that he has been hearing.

Rising UFC star Mike Perry and Santiago Ponzinibbio had a war on Saturday night in Winnipeg, Canada on the UFC on Fox 26 main card. Perry ended up losing for the second time in his professional mixed martial arts career now with an 11-2 record while Ponzinibbio picked up his sixth straight UFC win, improving to a 26-3 professional MMA record.

UFC President Dana White has threatened to sue Manny Pacquiao and his representatives if they have tried to start talks and negotiations for a boxing match with Conor McGregor. Although White may have tried to kill the possibility of the matchup, it’s surely a big topic for fans and pundits to talk about. Fight Hub TV recently spoke with Pacquiao’s coach Freddie Roach on the matchup and the legendary boxing trainer said that although there is a lot of money to be made in the superfight, he isn’t all that interested in it.

When asked about each other by the media, it’s likely that they will both come out with some scathing remarks directed at one another. The tune has not changed as Arum spoke with the media after the Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux card in New York. Arum was asked about White’s plans of getting into boxing promotions and the Top Rank CEO fired away with another boxing vs. MMA fueled response.

Many fans enjoy hearing Joe Rogan’s opinion on topics that go far beyond fighting and mixed martial arts. This is why the UFC commentator and comedian’s podcast is so popular. Speaking with Bellator heavyweight Justin Wren on his recent JRE MMA Show podcast episode, Rogan touched on UFC 218, which took place over the weekend in Detroit, Michigan. Rogan was extremely impressed with the wars put on with Yancy Medeiros vs. Alex Oliveira and Eddie Alvarez vs. Justin Gaethje. Rogan was also blown away by Francis Ngannou’s ferocious KO win over Alistair Overeem. Rogan then went over Max Holloway’s impressive performance against Jose Aldo in his first UFC featherweight title defense.

UFC 218 is set to take place tomorrow night as Hawaiian Max Holloway will look to defend his UFC featherweight title against former champion Jose Aldo in an immediate rematch. The two are scheduled for a five-round title fight in the main event of the evening, which takes place at the Little Caeser’s Arena in Detroit, Michigan. On Friday morning, fighters took to the scales for the official weigh-ins. All fighters from the UFC 218 card made weight and interestingly, both of the main event title fighters needed to disrobe and have the towel held up for them to make the official title fight weight of 145 pounds.

Rogan was talking about how the physique of Tyron Woodley could be detrimental in a five-round title fight against Robbie Lawler saying that all the muscle “The Chosen One” carries around could lead to him getting gassed out in the championship rounds of the fight.
