Sean Strickland responds to “upset” Navy Seal following remarks about protecting freedom: “The sand people aren’t taking away my freedoms”

UFC star Sean Strickland has responded to a Navy Seal who wasn’t happy with some of his recent remarks.

Sean Strickland ranting

If there’s one thing we know to be true about Sean Strickland, it’s that he doesn’t mind upsetting people. The former UFC middleweight champion speaks his mind, and doesn’t particularly care who he offends.

Recently, he came out and spoke about Navy Seals. He suggested that if they were to train with him for a week or so, he’d be able to break them. In response, a Navy Seal went viral for suggesting that their training would “end” Sean’s career, and that while he respects him, there’s a big difference between the two.

Strickland, as you can imagine, decided to respond, focusing on a comment made regarding protecting his freedom.

Strickland hits back

“I made a navy seal upset, he said “we protect your freedom”. I’m very pro military but anti government. But to say “I protect your freedom”. Yall need a history lesson on the federal government. Google Snowden and the constitution. The sand people aren’t taking away my freedoms.”

This is far from the most controversial thing Sean Strickland has said which, perhaps, speaks volumes in itself. While he’s obviously an incredibly talented fighter, the mainstream media knows him as the guy who will speak his mind regardless of the consequences. Based on the reception to this latest rant, we’d say there’s a lot more to come in the days and weeks ahead.
