Brazilian jiu-jitsu phenom Dillon Danis has grown extremely close to UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. The Marcelo Garcia black belt who was brought in for the UFC 202 training camp to prepare for Nate Diaz is still a part of McGregor’s UFC 205 camp and now considers McGregor his Irish brother. “I’m here for him”, Danis said in a report from The Mac Life. “We help each other. I wouldn’t say I’m just helping him because he also helps me a lot. My mind – everything. We’re a good tag-team, I think. He’s my brother from Ireland. I have my brothers back home in New York and now I have my brothers here too.”

MMA.TV member “ocbadapple” took to the popular forum and reported the following news: “Apparently Don has been at Cedars Sinai for about a week and has had some issues , with among other things, pneumonia. Im told he’s not doing too good.

Big news was buzzing on Monday when a report surfaced that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor was allegedly knocked out cold during training with a possible broken nose. As timing had it, McGregor was also given his sanctions from the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday where he was handed a hefty $150,000 fine as well as community service for the water bottle war against Nate Diaz and his team at the UFC 202 pre-fight press conference.

This past weekend in Manchester, UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping stepped into the Octagon to make his first successful title defense against MMA legend Dan Henderson in the main event of UFC 204. Bisping survived an early onslaught from Henderson en route to defending his belt for the first time. In both the first and second rounds, Bisping was dropped with Henderson’s signature ‘H-Bomb’. However throughout the remainder of the fight, he continued to outwork Henderson, and outstrike the MMA legend, landing a significant volume of strikes.

While Conor McGregor is currently the UFC featherweight champion, and has the opportunity to go down in history as the first UFC fighter to simultaneously hold title belts in two weight classes when he fights Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight championship at UFC 205 on November 12th, MMA veteran Nick Diaz doesn’t think McGregor’s beat anyone noteworthy.

Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor meet for their UFC lightweight championship bout at UFC 205 on November 12 in New York. McGregor, who holds the UFC featherweighttitle, will go up in weight to challenge Alvarez for his UFC lightweight title. The Irishman will get his chance to become a two-weight UFC world champion, and become the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold two division’s titles at the same time. However, Eddie Alvarez is no easy fight for anyone at 155 pounds. UFC commentator Joe Rogan spoke about the matchup during his UFC 204 “Fight Companion” podcast over the weekend.

This past weekend, UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping stepped into the Octagon in Manchester, England to defend his middleweight championship against MMA legend Dan Henderson in what was set to be Henderson’s last fight before retiring from MMA. The fight was an extremely competitive one, with Henderson dropping Bisping in both the first and second rounds. Despite that, Bisping poured out an incredible volume of strikes throughout the entire fight, landing an impressive amount of significant strikes from bell to bell.

The fight was supposed to be Penn’s highly anticipated return to the Octagon after partnering with famed coaches Greg Jackson & Mike Winkeljohn for his return.

The ongoing saga of former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar’s failed drug test continues! Lesnar made his triumphant return to the Octagon back in July, however there was some controversy surrounding his return. When it was announced in June that Lesnar would be returning to the Octagon at UFC 200, it was also revealed that Lesnar had been granted an exemption from the four-month period of testing to become an eligible fighter in the eyes of USADA. The move was certainly a controversial one, with many other fighters questioning the fact that Lesnar was granted an exemption.
