UFC welterweight Neil Magney has been absent from the Octagon since his UFC 207 win over former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks back in December. The win was a particularly impressive one for Magny, who defeated Hendricks in the former champ’s final welterweight fight before moving up to middleweight. The fight saw Magny return to the win column after having a 3-fight win streak snapped at the hands of Lorenz Larking at UFC 202, after picking up wins over Erick Silva, Kelvin Gatelum, and Hector Lombard.
Now, after an eight-month layoff following his win over Hendricks, Magny has officially been cleared to fight once again.

Fortunately after some intense physical therapy and rehabilitation, my has body made drastic improvements. This morning I met with my doctor to discuss the results of my most recent MRI. I am happy to say that based off of the results, I have been cleared by my doctor to return to competition.
