Today, Daley is gearing up for a grudge match with fellow British striker Michael Page at Bellator 216, and Page believes Daley might pull a similar stunt after their fight.

Michael Page could not have been more impressive in his second-round stoppage win over David Rickels, which co-headlined Bellator 200 on Friday. It’s not Conor McGregor boxing Floyd Mayweather, but it is an MMA fighter stepping into the ring to box. Bellator’s prospect Michael Page made his professional boxing debut today against Jonathan Castano. It was only scheduled for four rounds, but Page got the job done in three. Earlier this month, Bellator welterweight star Paul Daley began angling for a fight with former UFC contender and recent Bellator welterweight title challenger Lorenz Larkin. Shortly thereafter, Larkin replied to Daley’s callout, accepting the fight for later this year. This of course, raised immediate questions about the status of a long-discussed scrap between Daley and another British MMA star, Michael Page. As it turns out, the reason Page isn’t signing on the dotted line for a battle with Daley is that he’s got his hands full with a foray into the boxing arena. And he won’t be boxing in some community center basement, either.

Michael Page becoming free agent
Scott Hernandez - April 26, 2017
Bellator MMA’s Michael Page possesses arguably one of the most impressive highlight reels in MMA today. The British star has managed to rack up an impressive 12-0 professional record while racking up numerous highlights reel knockouts, most notably his flying knee KO win over Cyborg Santos nearly a year ago. While Michael Page has remained under the Bellator MMA banner over the last three years, ‘Venom’ has just two fights left on his Bellator MMA contract, and admittedly, he isn’t quite sure what will be his next move.
