Earlier this month, Bellator welterweight star Paul Daley began angling for a fight with former UFC contender and recent Bellator welterweight title challenger Lorenz Larkin. Shortly thereafter, Larkin replied to Daley’s callout, accepting the fight for later this year. This of course, raised immediate questions about the status of a long-discussed scrap between Daley and another British MMA star, Michael Page. As it turns out, the reason Page isn’t signing on the dotted line for a battle with Daley is that he’s got his hands full with a foray into the boxing arena. And he won’t be boxing in some community center basement, either.

Regrettably for Daley and his British fans, MacDonald was simply too much. The Canadian star locked up a choke for the win in the second round. Just moments after his loss, a clever Daley shifted gears and planted the seed for his next fight by engaging in a near-brawl with fellow British striker Michael Page in the stands.
