Darren Till weighs in on TJ Dillashaw situation

Fernando Quiles Jr. - July 2, 2019

Darren Till has given his take on the TJ Dillashaw situation. Dillashaw didn’t have an ideal start to 2019. He went into the year as the UFC bantamweight champion coming off another finish over his rival Cody Garbrandt. Dillashaw looked to become a two-division champion by challenging Henry Cejudo for the UFC flyweight title back in January. Dillashaw was stopped in 32 seconds.

Darren Till discusses infamous taxi-theft incident

Cole Shelton - July 1, 2019

Back in April, Darren Till was arrested in the Canary Islands for damaging a hotel room and stealing a taxi. Now, just over two months later, the Englishman has opened up on the incident in an interview with Fighters Only. “Truthfully and honestly, we went on a lad’s birthday and we booked it for the while. We were gone for two days and we were out there having a good time. It’s a nice place,” Darren Till said (via MMA News). “Then we were in the hotel, and there were these other guys in the room. And we weren’t having trouble, but just a little bother broke out – not fights and whatnot. Obviously, the hotel didn’t get trashed. There was no criminal damage. But things got thrown and whatever.”

Michael Bisping not ruling out career turnaround for Darren Till

Fernando Quiles Jr. - June 30, 2019

Michael Bisping believes Darren Till can turn the tide in his young career. After going 17-0-1 in his first 18 professional bouts, Till was given a UFC welterweight title shot against Tyron Woodley. Big wins over Donald Cerrone and Stephen Thompson caught the attention of UFC officials and once Colby Covington underwent nasal surgery, Till was given the shot at gold. He fell short, suffering a second-round submission loss to Woodley.

Stephen Thompson welcomes rematch with Darren Till

Tom Taylor - May 27, 2019

In 2018, welterweight contenders Stephen Thompson and Darren Till battled for five tense and competitive rounds. At the end of their 25 minute meeting, England’s Till was named the winner via decision — though many fans disagreed with that verdict. At the time of their meeting, Thompson and Till stood out as two of the top contenders in the UFC welterweight division. Today, however, the pair are both riding brutal, one-punch knockout losses. Thompson came up short more recently, after absorbing a bomb from former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis. Till tasted defeated just before that, when he was thumped by Jorge Masvidal.

Darren Till unsure which division he'll fight in next

Tom Taylor - May 20, 2019

It’s no secret that Darren Till endures a brutal cut down to the 171-pound welterweight limit. While he’s hit that mark on many occasions, he’s also missed weight several times. Given the difficulty Till has had cutting down to welterweight in the recent past, many fight fans have encouraged him to move up to the middleweight. Till has been fairly receptive of this idea, but he’s also seemed a bit reluctant to leave the welterweight division behind.
