Conor McGregor’s recent surge of tweets continued Wednesday evening, as the former UFC Champ Champ replied to dozens of comments on Twitter.

Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor

One Twitter user asked McGregor why his footwork appeared to be so flatfooted in his last fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor’s answer revealed an injury may have come into play at UFC 229 late last year.

“I broke my foot 3 weeks out from the bout. I still marched forward however, and also landed the final blows of the night. On his blood brother. I am happy with how the contest went and the lessons learned. In my fighting and more importantly my preparation. Time will reveal all.”

The former two-weight UFC champion wasn’t done tweeting. “The Notorious’s” next tweet replied to a Twitter user looking to take a dig at the Irishman.

“Very happy with my defense. A precarious position with the head pinned against the fence. Every movement must be calculated as any over exertion leaves the guard open and could lead to a finishing blow. None of which came close. Zero facial damage taken and I won the next round”.

It is unknown when Conor McGregor will return for his next bout, but one thing is certain — he knows how to get people talking.
