Pico collided with fellow Bellator alum Patricio “Pitbull” Freire on the featured preliminary bout of this past Saturday’s card in Miami. Pico scored a unanimous decision victory to get back in the win column.

Carlos Ulberg’s coach hit the panic button before his fighter delivered a stunning knockout victory at UFC 327. Ulberg found himself in a rough spot during his vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship fight against Jiri Prochazka this past Saturday. Early on, “Black Jag” suffered a knee injury that noticeably impacted his movement. While it appeared Prochazka was in prime position to finish the fight, Ulberg delivered a crushing hook that floored his opponent. Ulberg then finished the fight with some follow-up punches to become the new 205-pound king.

Paulo Costa is thrilled he had the opportunity to speak with US President Donald Trump following his latest UFC win. Costa was back in action at Saturday’s UFC 327 event in Miami. He took on top light heavyweight contender Azamat Murzakanov on the main card. It was a tough challenge for the Brazilian, who was moving up from the middleweight division, but he rose to the occasion. After two back-and-forth rounds, he turned it on in round three, and finished his opponent with a barrage of kicks to the body, arms, and head.

Gable Steveson is set to make his UFC debut at the promotion’s annual International Fight Week card this July. That’s reason enough to be excited for the event, but it sounds like the main event is going to be big. Steveson, an Olympic wrestler, has been a shoo-in for a UFC roster spot for years. After a handful of wins on the regional circuit, he finally signed with the promotion last week. His signing was announced on Saturday’s UFC 327 broadcast. During the broadcast, it was also announced that Steveson will debut at the International Fight Week card, officially titled UFC 329 and set for July 11. His opponent was not announced.

As we know, Jiri Prochazka suffered a knockout loss to Carlos Ulberg last weekend in the main event of UFC 327. It seemed as if he had Ulberg on the ropes after an apparent knee injury, but instead, the new light heavyweight champion was able to land a devastating blow that led to him securing the finish.

The vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship was at stake. Early on in the fight, Ulberg planted his foot the wrong way, and he suffered a knee injury as a result.

During the UFC 327 broadcast this past Saturday, it was announced that Steveson is the newest addition of the top MMA promotion’s heavyweight roster. Steveson attended UFC 327 along with Jon Jones inside the Kaseya Center in Miami.

Costa dropped Murzakanov with a head kick in the third round, and he didn’t need any follow-up strikes before the bout was stopped.

Hokit had a big night on Saturday when he defeated Curtis Blaydes via unanimous decision in Miami. Not only did Hokit earn the win and two bonuses, but he also scored a spot on the UFC Freedom 250 card. He will be facing Derrick Lewis after POTUS Donald Trump requested “The Black Beast” for the June 14 show.

It seemed as if the fight was there to be won for Jiri after Carlos appeared to sustain a knee injury, and yet, it didn’t quite work out that way with the Czech sensation opting to show Ulberg mercy.

The Octagon returned to Miami, Florida, for tonight’s UFC 327 event, a 12-bout fight card headlined by Jiri Prochazka vs. Carlos Ulberg. The highly anticipated light heavyweight title fight resulted in one of the craziest finishes in recent memory. After getting off to a good start with some hard low kicks, Carlos Ulberg seemingly blew out his knee while sliding out of the pocket. Jiri Prochazka initially pounced at the opportunity, but after landing some nasty low kicks to the injured leg of Ulberg and recognizing the extent of his opponent’s injury, Prochazka seemingly let up. It was shortly after his aggression stopped that ‘Black Jag’ was able to find a home for a big left hook that sent the Czech fighter crashing to the canvas. Ulberg jumped all over Jiri with hammer fists and put him out cold for a brief moment.

Prochazka (32-6-1 MMA) was looking to reclaim the UFC light heavyweight championship when he collided with Ulberg for the promotion’s vacant 205lbs title this evening in Florida. The Czech standout entered the contest sporting a two-fight win streak, this after scoring stoppage wins over Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr. in his most previous Octagon appearances.
