UFC 327 Bonus Report: Josh Hokit takes home an extra $200k

The Octagon returned to Miami, Florida, for tonight’s UFC 327 event, a 12-bout fight card headlined by Jiri Prochazka vs. Carlos Ulberg.
The highly anticipated light heavyweight title fight resulted in one of the craziest finishes in recent memory. After getting off to a good start with some hard low kicks, Carlos Ulberg seemingly blew out his knee while sliding out of the pocket. Jiri Prochazka initially pounced at the opportunity, but after landing some nasty low kicks to the injured leg of Ulberg and recognizing the extent of his opponent’s injury, Prochazka seemingly let up. It was shortly after his aggression stopped that ‘Black Jag’ was able to find a home for a big left hook that sent the Czech fighter crashing to the canvas. Ulberg jumped all over Jiri with hammer fists and put him out cold for a brief moment.
UFC 327 was co-headlined by another light heavyweight bout showcasing Paulo Costa taking on Azamat Murzakanov. ‘The Eraser’ got off to a fantastic start in the opening round, landing a plethora of hard kicks to the lead leg and body of the Russian. However, Azamat fought back strong in round two, hurting Costa on a number of occasions in the five-minute stretch. Then, in round three, Costa got off some big kicks early, both to the head and body. Azamat appeared to suffer an injury to his left arm, and a swift head kick moments later spelled an end to the contest for good (see that here).
