Dana White isn’t the biggest fan of Josh Hokit’s antics, but as long as the UFC 327 winner produces, there won’t be much of an issue.

Hokit had a big night on Saturday when he defeated Curtis Blaydes via unanimous decision in Miami. Not only did Hokit earn the win and two bonuses, but he also scored a spot on the UFC Freedom 250 card. He will be facing Derrick Lewis after POTUS Donald Trump requested “The Black Beast” for the June 14 show.

Hokit had a slew of eyeballs on him going into UFC 327 due to his pre-fight antics where he played the role of a Mexican gangster and tried rattling headliners Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg. During the post-fight presser, White said Hokit’s performances outweigh any negative feelings about his character (h/t MMAFighting).

“I’m one of them [that doesn’t like his character],” White said. “He walked the talk tonight. When people come out and say stupid shit and have sort of a schtick, it’s not my thing. But nothing but respect for both of those men tonight.

“That fight was unbelievable. You won’t hear a word out of me from here on out about him. Like I said, he walked the talk.”

White isn’t exactly enamored with the idea of what Hokit might say and do in the buildup to UFC’s White House card, but if he has a barnburner with Lewis on fight night, that’s all that will matter.

“Yeah probably [cringe a little bit],” White said. “But then once he gets in the cage, we’ll forget all about it.”

Hokit has improved his pro MMA record to 9-0. Entering UFC 327, Blaydes was the No. 5-ranked UFC heavyweight. Hokit has catapulted himself up the heavyweight ladder,
