By Adam Martin - June 10, 2019

On Sunday night, Justin Bieber called out Tom Cruise on Twitter for a high-profile celebrity superfight. It was a callout that got the whole entertainment world talking. It even trickled into the MMA sphere because Bieber said he wants to fight Cruise in the Octagon and tagged UFC president Dana White in his tweet.

An hour later, UFC superstar Conor McGregor took to Twitter and responded to Bieber, saying that McGregor Sports and Entertainment would host the bout.

As much as many would like to think this is a joke, we actually now have betting odds for this proposed matchup.

According to BestFightOdds, the sportsbook William Hill is offering odds for this proposed Justin Bieber vs. Tom Cruise celebrity fight. Cruise opened as a -200 betting favorite for the bout, with Bieber pegged as a +150 underdog.

Justin Bieber (0-0) is one of the most popular musical artists on the planet. The 25-year-old Canadian is known for such smash hit songs like “Love Yourself” and “Baby” and he is one of the best-selling pop artists in history. He won a Grammy award in 2016 for Best Dance Recording for his song “Where Are U Now.”

Bieber, who recently married Hailey Baldwin, announced earlier this year he was taking a break from his music career to focus on his mental health. But he later revealed he would be coming out with his fifth album later this year. Bieber has no professional or combat experience, but has been known to train boxing with Floyd Mayweather, who he has accompanied to several of matches. As far as his ground game goes, though, we have no idea how it would look.

Tom Cruise (0-0) is one of the most popular movie stars ever. The 56-year-old American is known for his roles in movies such as “Mission: Impossible,” “Top Gun,” “Rain Man,” and “Jerry Maguire.” He won an Academy Award in 1990 for his performance in “Born On The Fourth Of July.” He is one of the highest-grossing actors of all-time, and is also known for his high-profile marriages to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes.

Cruise most recently portrayed Ethan Hunt in “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” and is currently in filming for “Top Gun: Maverick.” Despite being almost 60, Cruise keeps himself in tremendous physical condition. Cruise has no professional experience in combat sports, but did participate in a bare-knuckle boxing match in the 1992 movie “Far and Away.”

Although it’s ridiculous to think this fight could even happen, the fact is we have odds now for it. At these opening odds, who would you take to win between Tom Cruise and Justin Bieber?
