With this massive knockout win, Hooker makes a successful debut in the UFC lightweight division. He also separates himself from a recent loss to rising prospect Jason Knight. The Kiwi is now 14-7 in sum.

Pearson, meanwhile, finds himself on an unfortunate, four-fight skid, having given up fights to Will Brooks, Jorge Masvidal, Stevie Ray, and now Hooker. The Brit’s last win occurred in March of 2016, when he defeated Canada’s Chad Laprise by split decision.
