The next UFC pay-per-view on the horizon is UFC 211. This massive card will go down inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas this Saturday night (May 13). The stacked UFC 211 will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between reigning, defending champion Stipe Miocic and former champion Junior Dos Santos. This anticipated heavyweight title showdown will be a rematch of a late 2014 bout, which saw Dos Santos walk away with a hard fought unanimous decision win. Since this first battle with Dos Santos, Miocic has not lost, defeating Mark Hunt, Andrei Arlovski, Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem, all by knockout or TKO. Dos Santos, meanwhile, has fought just twice since then, first losing to Alistair Overeem, then rebounding with a dominant decision defeat of Ben Rothwell.

The pay-per-view event is headlined by a heavyweight title fight rematch featuring current champ Stipe Miocic taking on former title holder Junior dos Santos. Miocic and dos Santos first met in December of 2014 with the Brazilian emerging victorious via unanimous decision in what was a very close fight.

This win sent the American Top Team staple rocketing up the UFC welterweight rankings. In the wake of this win, Masvidal quickly began calling for a fight with top welterweight contender Demian Maia. While Maia initially seemed reluctant to accept this fight, stating that he would prefer to wait for a shot at the title, he eventually signed on the dotted line. The two welterweights will go at it on the main card of UFC 211 this May 13.

While the card unfortunately lost a heavyweight fight between Fabricio Werdum and Ben Rothwell when Rothwell was notified of a potential USADA violation, it still looks like an epic one – and it’s only getting better.
