Andre Fili Edges Out Artem Lobov as Conor McGregor Yells Cageside
Justin Golightly - October 21, 2017
Artem Lobov and Andre Fili’s history goes back to The Ultimate Fighter 22. It was coached by his friend Conor McGregor, who was there in Poland to support his right hand man. It was Team Alpha Male squaring off against Straight Blast Gym with guy who first dethrone Jose Aldo watching it all unfold. Not just in the stands mind you, but pacing around and screaming on the cageside floor. Both Lobov and Fili aren’t ones to take a step back in fights, so you knew it was going to be a scrap. Check Out Sage Northcutt Giving Us All Heart Attacks on an Alpha Male Hike
Justin Golightly - October 21, 2017
We’re used to Sage Northcutt doing things no human man should be able to pull off. He’s perhaps even more well known for his stunts outside the Octagon, than his few performances in it. We’ve seen him backflip backwards and forwards, squish various fruits, all with an infinite smile. But perhaps the super Sage went a little too far this time. He went hiking with the boys at Team Alpha Male and balanced on a fallen tree that was suspended over what looks to be some sort of gorge. One hyped contender loses and a new prospect uses them to launch themselves. Heather Hardy is taking the loss like the champion she is and addressed the public on social media, sharing one of the many brutal and disturbing pictures from the fight last night. I’m sorry I let everyone down. I gave it my all out there, and I truly hope it showed. I’d rather lose then give y’all a boring fight because I appreciate every one of you… sponsors, coaches, friends, family and fans… and the worst part was knowing I couldn’t get the job done for all of you. . Congrats to a game Kristina Williams, who had an answer for everything I tried. OSU! . And incase everyone is wondering, YES, I will be back. Nothing will ever take the fight out of me, not even this broken nose. I knew coming into this new world I was taking a big risk, and this is all part of my journey. . You’ve all heard how resilient I am. Andre Fili Gives Respect to Artem Lobov Ahead of Their UFC Gdansk Fight
Justin Golightly - October 21, 2017
We’re just a couple of hours away from Poland’s mid-afternoon UFC event, a place that some MMA fans claim Artem Lobov doesn’t belong. They come out of the woodwork every fight. Lobov will be taking on Team Alpha Male’s Andre Fili. Despite the history between the two gyms, there wasn’t much trash talk. Actually, Fili recently opened up about his respect for Lobov and talked about the unforgiving fans who make the internet a mine field for fighters. “I’ve been around him a lot more than other guys that I get picked to fight. There is no bad blood, though. There’s no disrespect. I don’t feel any negative emotion towards him as a person. He’s alright. He’s tough, he puts on exciting fights and he’s got a good chin – all these things make for an exciting fight. I’m just excited to get in there to let my hands go and get this win. He doesn’t have the best record, but he’s fought some of the best guys in the world. I think most of the people who talk about him not deserving to be in the UFC are guys who have never been in a cage and have fought for a living.”

Bellator’s prospect Michael Page made his professional boxing debut today against Jonathan Castano. It was only scheduled for four rounds, but Page got the job done in three. In between drunken Kung Fu, clowning his opponent, and dancing, Page rocketed long straights into Castano’s face at will. #Boxing #JoyceLewison #MVP pic.twitter.com/n5tZ0EiZ9J

Russell Ess - October 20, 2017
Donald Cerrone returns to the Octagon for his third fight this year as he is set to take on rising star Darren Till in the main event of UFC Fight Night 118 in Gdansk, Poland. “Cowboy” is riding the first two-fight winning streak of his professional MMA career after fighting two world-class opponents. In January, Cerrone lost for the first time since moving up to the welterweight division to current number 4 ranked UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal. Cerrone’s next matchup in July would not get any easier with falling short in a unanimous decision loss to former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler, who is currently the number 1 ranked 170-pound contender.

BREAKING | Kamaru Usman Booked For a Big Scrap At UFC 219
Justin Golightly - October 20, 2017
With seven welterweight match-ups booked from now until the end of the year, it was curious that Kamaru Usman became the odd man out. He didn’t find it that confusing though, he actually thought he knew the answer. The fact of the matter is, Usman thinks he hasn’t got a big name opponent because those would-be challengers knew they didn’t have a shot. It’s only fitting that the only guy who rose to the occasion is a viking. That’s right, Usman has been booked to fight Emil Meek at UFC 219.
