Earlier this month at UFC 225 in Chicago, Colby Covington was crowned the UFC’s new interim welterweight champion after scoring a unanimous decision victory over former lightweight title holder Rafael dos Anjos.

The Thompson vs. Till fight, which headlined UFC Fight Night 130, almost didn’t happen after the Liverpool native badly missed weight by coming in 3.5 pounds over the non-title welterweight limit of 171-pounds.

A little over a year later, Pickett has ended his retirement. The former UFC bantamweight has signed with ACB, and will debut with the promotion when they return to London on August 11. The fighters competing in said main event were Yoel Romero and the UFC champion, Robert Whittaker. Unfortunately, after Romero missed the championship weight the day before by .02 pounds, the fight was changed to a non-title bout. But it didn’t stop the two from beating the hell out of one another.
