UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has issued a response to Colby Covington’s sister. Earlier this month at UFC 225 in Chicago, Colby Covington was crowned the UFC’s new interim welterweight champion after scoring a unanimous decision victory over former lightweight title holder Rafael dos Anjos.

The Thompson vs. Till fight, which headlined UFC Fight Night 130, almost didn’t happen after the Liverpool native badly missed weight by coming in 3.5 pounds over the non-title welterweight limit of 171-pounds.

Back in March of 2017, British MMA legend Brad Pickett experienced his third consecutive loss — a knockout at the hands of Marlon Vera — and elected to hang up the gloves. A little over a year later, Pickett has ended his retirement. The former UFC bantamweight has signed with ACB, and will debut with the promotion when they return to London on August 11. Speaking to MMA Fighting, Pickett explained what it was that compelled him to end his retirement.

Greg Hardy’s first-round knockout of Austen Lane, which occurred on this week’s episode of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, earned him a “development” contract with the UFC. Speaking to TMZ this week, Dana White himself shed some light on what this development deal will actually look like, and when we might see Hardy again. Apparently, White is hoping to have Hardy compete on another episode of the Contender Series in July. In other words, we can expect the UFC to build Hardy up via other avenues before he debuts in the Octagon proper.

Cormier feels that, because his teammate Luke Rockhold is injured, Gustafsson should welcome fearsome middleweight contender Yoel Romero to the light heavyweight division.

That seems to be one of the main takeaways for Punk’s jiu jitsu coach, Daniel Wanderley.

UFC 225’s main event was an instant classic. It featured a rematch between two of the greatest middleweight fighters MMA has ever seen. The fighters competing in said main event were Yoel Romero and the UFC champion, Robert Whittaker. Unfortunately, after Romero missed the championship weight the day before by .02 pounds, the fight was changed to a non-title bout. But it didn’t stop the two from beating the hell out of one another.
