Tom Taylor - July 27, 2018

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is now set to defend his title at UFC 228 on September 8 in Dallas. He will not, however, defend it against current interim welterweight champion Colby Covington. Instead, he’s poised to defend his strap against surging British contender Darren Till, which will probably cause the UFC to strip Covington of his interim title.  For former UFC middleweight champion and current MMA analyst Michael Bisping, this is a pleasant turn of events. The Brit, after all, has had a number of fiery exchanges with Covington in the past — including one right after Covington capture the interim title at UFC 225 in June.

Joe Rogan feels that Stipe Miocic deserves rematch with Daniel Cormier

Tom Taylor - July 26, 2018

The next shot at Daniel Cormier’s UFC heavyweight title will go to former champion Brock Lesnar. In the eyes of many fans, however, this is the wrong choice. Instead, these fans feel that the next shot at Cormier should go to the very many he won the title from: Stipe Miocic. Miocic, after all, owns the record for most consecutive title defenses by a UFC heavyweight champion, and until his loss to Cormier — a first-round knockout — looked more or less unstoppable. Furthermore, many dominant champions are given immediate rematches when they lose their belts — such as Ronda Rousey and Joanna Jedrzejczyk, to name a few.
