It’s finally Super Bowl Sunday. All over the world, football fans are piling onto couches amid panoplies of snacks and drinks to enjoy the big game. Former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ Conor McGregor, however, will be enjoying the Super Bowl from a vantage point many of us can only dream of — from inside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. McGregor’s presence at the Super Bowl was announced on the official NFL Twitter account.

On Saturday night, the UFC made it’s first stop of the year in Brazil with the 13-fight UFC Fortaleza card. Headlining the card was a battle of two top bantamweight contenders in Raphael Assuncao and Marlon Moraes. Ultimately, Moraes submitted Assuncao in the first round to become the clear cut number one contender in the bantamweight division.

Last night, the UFC touched down in Fortaleza, Brazil, with an exciting 13-fight card. As always, the fans in the building were incredibly excited and passionate — so much so that former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ Conor McGregor now wants to fight in the country. What an amazing atmosphere at UFC Brazil tonight.I would LOVE to compete there for all the passionate Brazilian fans at some stage of my career.I was so close to securing a bout in Rio last year. It was essentially a done deal.Maybe next time.Ui Vai Morrer!!!! I’m still here.

Last night, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships (BKFC) — not to be confused with WBKFF — touched down in Cancun, Mexico with BKFC 4. The card was billed as a USA vs. Mexico event, as each matchup pitted an American fighter against a Mexican fighter or fighter of Mexican heritage. In the main event, all-action UFC veteran Leonard Garcia made a return to the ring against infamous Ultimate Fighter veteran Julian Lane. Leonard Garcia won this BKFC 4 main event showdown by second round knockout.

Last night, in the main event of the stacked UFC Fortaleza card on ESPN+, former World Series of Fighting bantamweight king Marlon Moraes avenges his only UFC loss, defeating the always tough Raphael Assuncao by first-round submission. With this dominant victory, Marlon Moraes is now inarguably the top contender for TJ DIllashaw’s UFC bantamweight title. Yet having recently watched Dillashaw come up short in a flyweight title fight with Henry Cejudo — a fight he lost by first-round TKO — Moraes says he isn’t sure this fight is an opportunity Dillashaw deserves.

Last night, in the co-main event of UFC Fortaleza on ESPN+, former UFC featherweight champ and bona fide MMA legend Jose Aldo picked up another huge win, this time at the expense of Renato Moicano, who he dispatched with a volley of second-round punches. This victory generated reactions from many MMA stars — including several of Aldo’s rivals in Conor McGregor, Brian Ortega, Alexander Volkanovski and reigning featherweight champ Max Holloway.

Shortly after Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor by rear-naked choke in the main event of UFC 229 in October, he leapt over the side of the Octagon and dive bombed McGregor’s friend and training partner Dillon Danis. Ever since, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dillon Danis have had plenty to say about each other on social media.

Last night, the UFC returned to ESPN+ with the thirteen fight UFC Fortaleza card. Among the viewers for this stacked card was former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor. Speaking on Twitter after the fight, the Irish MMA star shared his thoughts on the passionate fans that turn up for the UFC’s cards in Brazil, and announced that he hopes to compete in the country before his career draws to a close.

A key bantamweight bout between top contenders Marlon Moraes and Raphael Assuncao headlined tonight’s UFC Fortaleza event. Marlon Moraes entered tonight’s UFC Fortaleza main event on a three fight win streak. His latest effort saw him destroy Jimmie Rivera back in June of 2018.

Former UFC featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo scored a second-round TKO victory over Renato Moicano at tonight’s UFC Fortaleza event. Aldo was able to catch Moicano with a beautiful counter punch that had Renato in all sorts of trouble. From there, Jose Aldo would fire off some ruthless body shots which prompted the referee to step in and stop the fight.

Earlier this week, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) convened to decide the fates of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, who were involved in a hectic, post-fight brawl after their UFC 229 contest. Conor McGregor was handed a $50,000 fine and six month suspension. Khabib Nurmagomedov, meanwhile, was hit with a much heavier $500,000 fine and a nine-month suspension, though this suspension can be reduced to six months if completes an anti-bullying public service announcement.

Earlier this week, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) handed hefty punishments to Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor for their roles in the frenzied brawl that followed their UFC 229 fight.  Nurmagomedov was handed a $500,000 fine and a nine-month ban, which can be reduced to six months if he completes an anti-bullying PSA. McGregor, meanwhile, received a lighter six-month suspension and $50,000 fine.

This weekend, in the co-main event of UFC Fortaleza on ESPN+, former featherweight champ Jose Aldo will battle surging contender Renato Moicano. Speaking at Thursday’s UFC Fortaleza media day, Jose Aldo harkened back to late 2018, when he was briefly linked to a lightweight fight with Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Aldo was excited about this fight, but now that Cerrone is chasing a fight with Conor McGregor, he no longer sees it as an option.
