Speaking on ESPN’s Now or Never earlier this week, UFC President Dana White stated that the time for a rematch between UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones and heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier is ‘now.’ “Now,” White said bluntly of a rematch between the two arch rivals. “Yeah. I think that right now, Cormier probably has three fights left in his career, you know what I mean? And one of those guys is definitely going to be Jon Jones.”

Former ONE Championship and Bellator titleholder Ben Askren is currently scheduled to make his UFC debut against former UFC champ Robbie Lawler at UFC 235 on March 2. While this high-stakes welterweight scrap is just a month away, much of Askren’s focus seems to be on a fight with undefeated UFC lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, who he hopes to meet in the inaugural title fight for the still hypothetical 165-pound division. Ben Askren once again called for this fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov at Thursday nights’ UFC 235 press conference.

On Saturday night, the UFC will return to the streaming service ESPN+ with the exciting UFC Fortaleza card. This card will be headlined by a bantamweight number-one-contender fight between Marlon Moraes and Raphael Assuncao. Rather, Pickett will be making his bare knuckle boxing debut, and for a BKB title belt no less.

Yet as that date rapidly approaches, there’s been question as to whether he might delay his retirement to accommodate big ticket fights with names like Jon Jones, Brock Lesnar and Stipe Miocic. That’s what UFC President Dana White is hoping, and from the sounds of it, he might just get his wish.
