Jon Jones recently found himself in a road-rage encounter with another driver in Albuquerque.

Bryan Beltran took to his Instagram account to accuse Jones of nearly hitting his vehicle with a truck three times. Beltran admitted that he flipped off “Bones” due to what transpired, which led to the former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight titleholder confronting him.

“Driving up Central close to Eubank when i was almost hit 3 times by the truck even after i revved my car at him the first time it almost happened he still almost hit me twice after that so I flipped him off then he proceeded to stop in the middle of the road back up and come into the same parking lot,” Beltran wrote.

Beltran then noted that he believed Jones was holding a firearm inside his hoodie pocket during the encounter. Despite the altercation, Beltran insists he’d rather make peace with Jones so the entire incident can blow over.

“No hate or hard feelings towards my guy [Jon] but i think he might need to take some driving classes cause he almost him multiple times. Hopefully soon i make another video where we can maybe shake hands and ‘squash the beef’ lol,” Beltran continued.

MMA fans are thankful things didn’t escalate beyond some words and gestures being exchanged. “Bones” has had his share of run-ins with the law, and the retired all-time MMA great would be best served to stay out of trouble.

Jones had been pounding the table for a spot on the UFC Freedom 250 card, which is scheduled for June 14. Ultimately, UFC CEO Dana White poured cold water on that idea. This led to Jones publicly asking for his release from the top MMA promotion.
