Jamahal Hill responds to fan backlash over UFC 300 main event booking: “Guaranteed banger”

Jamahal Hill has fired back at fans that are disappointed with him headlining UFC 300 against Alex Pereira.

On Saturday after UFC 298, Dana White announced that Pereira would be defending his light heavyweight title against Hill in the main event of UFC 300 on April 13. White had promised that UFC 300 would be a historic card from top-to-bottom but some fans felt like the main event was a bit of a disappointment.

Yet, speaking on his YouTube channel, Jamahal Hill clapped back at those fans as he says him vs. Alex Pereira is a guaranteed banger.

“You got one of the most technical, guaranteed bangers of a fight that you could ask for at this time, with serious implications in one of the historically in one of the best weight divisions in the UFC. People are complaining, bro. I saw one comment and it said I was expecting Conor vs. Jesus himself. At this point, I’m convinced that wouldn’t be enough. Y’all could have got Mario vs. King Kong, y’all coulda got Wolverine vs. Iron Man, y’all coulda got anything, Hulk vs. Superman, Spider-Man vs. Batman, you could have gotten any of this and you wouldn’t have been happy,” Jamahal Hill said.

“All I can say as far as the whole this is a disappointment and it not being worthy of this spot and things like that, is, that’s crazy. Whenever you pay for a fight, do you not want someone that is coming to take somebody’s head off, to knock somebody out? That has very, very, very high-level skills and the capabilities of doing so. You got that with both ends of this fight. I put it on the line every time, every single fight, I’m coming forward, I’m taking risks and giving everything for the show,” Hill continued.

Jamahal Hill says that the backlash was a surprise as whenever he has been out in public, people have been asking him when he is going to fight Alex Pereira. The former UFC champion knows the fight will be entertaining for however long it lasts and says it is definitely UFC 300 main event worthy.
