With ‘Ruthless’ Robbie Lawler now out of his scheduled UFC 205 matchup with Donald Cerrone, ‘Cowboy’ is determined to get a fight.

‘Cowboy’ texted UFC president Dana White on Friday night and told him he was willing to replace CB Dollaway, who was pulled from the card with an undisclosed injury, against Francisco Barrasso.

White posted a photo of the text exchange Friday night on Instagram, captioning the post:

The Dollaway vs Barrasso fight was scheduled to be at light heavyweight, while ‘Cowboy’ currently fights in the welterweight division. However, that didn’t stop Cerrone from offering his serves less than a day from UFC 203.

‘Ruthless’ dropped out of his UFC 205 matchup with Cerrone on Friday, just days after the fight was announced, citing his recent knockout loss to Tyron Woodley as his reason for pulling out of the fight.

‘Cowboy’ has a history of saving UFC cards and stepping in to replace injured fighters, and his text to Dana seems par for the course for the former lightweight and current welterweight contender.

Barrasso is looking to rebound after a second round submission loss to Nikita Krylov in May, while ‘Cowboy’ is currently riding a three fight win streak at welterweight.
