This past weekend in Toronto, Canada, top ranked UFC welterweight Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone picked up yet another spectacular win as he knocked out Matt Brown in the third round of their co-main event scrap. The fight was a very highly anticipated one, with Cowboy entering the fight on a 3-fight win streak that had seen him go undefeated at welterweight over the course of 2016, finishing all three opponents.

When Cerrone stepped into the Octagon with Brown, there was no love lost between the two fan-favorite fighters following some tensions throughout the course of fight week, which saw the two men engage in a pair of heated staredowns. The fight was a closely contested one, however in the third round Cerrone landed a beautiful left head kick counter which knocked Brown out cold, forcing referee ‘Big’ John McCarthy to stop the fight.

Following his win, Cerrone wasted no time in taking to social media to get his next fight lined up:

Masvidal, who currently sits at #15 on the UFC’s welterweight rankings recently made the jump to lightweight, where he picked up a controversial 1st round TKO win over Jake Ellenberger at the ‘TUF: Tournament of Champions’ Finale when Ellenberger got his foot stuck in the cage. The win over Ellenberger made it two straight for Masvidal
